2003 Asian Basketball Championship
Oct 2, 2003: China beat South Korea to win the 2003 Asian
championship. Yao Ming had 30 points and 15 rebounds for China. He was named the
tournament's Most Valuable Player, averaging 22.6 points on 69.3 percent shooting,
and 13.1 rebounds in just 25.8 minutes per game.
