Raptors sign Andre Barrett to second 10-day contract

The Toronto Raptors announced Saturday they have signed guard Andre Barrett to a second 10-day contact. Barrett signed his first 10-day with the Raptors on March 15.
Barrett has appeared in five games for Toronto, averaging 4.0 points and 2.8 assists in 17.2 minutes. He had a high of six points last night versus Minnesota and six assists March 15 versus Detroit.
Barrett, 5-foot-10, 175 pounds, is in his second NBA season. He was signed to consecutive 10-day contracts by Phoenix before being released March 14. He appeared in two games with the Suns, totaling nine points and two assists. He split the 2004-05 season between Houston and Orlando where he posted averages of 3.1 points and 1.4 assists in 36 games.
Prior to signing with Phoenix, Barrett was with the Florida Flame of the NBA Developmental League. In 33 games with the Flame, he averaged 17.0 points (11th in the league) and 6.6 assists (third overall in the D-League).
Barrett was the top overall pick in the 2005 NBA D-League Draft after not being selected by an NBA team. He averaged 15.3 points and 5.4 assists in four seasons at Seton Hall.
