An MRI taken this afternoon in Sacramento revealed that Kings guard Mike Bibby tore a ligament in his left thumb during yesterday's practice (10/25/07).

Treatment options are being evaluated and he is expected to miss a minimum of six to eight weeks.

Bibby last season played all 82 games for the Kings and in 34.0 minutes per game averaged 17.1 points, 3.2 rebounds, 4.7 assists and 1.1 steals. He struggled with his shooting, hitting 40.4% of his field goals, and 36.0% from three-point range.
