InsideHoops.com met with New Jersey Nets superstar Vince Carter for an exclusive interview about what he may do years from now after his NBA playing career is over.

InsideHoops.com: What do you see yourself doing after your NBA career is over? Coach? Assistant coach? A ref? Just kidding, not a ref.

Vince Carter: No ref'ing. I don't know, it's hard to say. I like broadcasting. I definitely want to do something to stay by the game. I do want to do that. I love the game that much. But as far as coaching? That would have to happen by accident, to be honest with you. One of my old teammates or something, maybe talk me into it. But probably broadcasting, of some sort. I like that. I like to talk about basketball. I like to watch it all the time. I'm not saying I'd be good at it, but, I've done a little bit of it.

InsideHoops.com: Have you? Where did you do it?

Vince Carter: With Toronto. When I was hurt. So, I enjoyed it.

InsideHoops.com: Do you see yourself being more straightforward, or being a bit wild, making jokes and cracking some stuff?

Vince Carter: Yeah, a little bit of everything. Just moreso, tell the truth. I don't know about killing guys. Just try to educate the people who are watching, and just call it like you see it. I try not to be too opinionated. I don't to be like that.

InsideHoops.com: So a little bit of political correctness, with a lot of insight.

Vince Carter: Yeah. But if it's going to be criticism, constructive criticism. I think now, a lot of guys... the criticism now is I think unfair to a lot of guys for whatever reason. But we'll see. I say one thing now; might be totally the other way when I get there.
