Doug Christie, Clippers to part ways

Doug Christie, whose second 10-day contract with the Los Angeles Clippers expires Tuesday night, gave an exclusive statement via email to InsideHoops.com on Sunday explaning that he won't be with the Clippers after the current contract ends.
"At this point in my career I just need to make sure the fit is right with the team that i'm playing for on both sides. They must want me and I must want them," said Christie.
"And as I appreciate the opportunity that the Los Angeles Clippers gave me in my returning to play in the NBA, the fit as far as I was concerned was not a good one. They are a very good team and I wish them all the best.
"As for the future, I plan to stay in shape and see if the right situation presents itself. I will miss the players on the team -- Cuttino Mobley, Shaun Livingston, Elton Brand and all of the others."
