The AP reports: Cade Cunningham scored 19 points to lead the Detroit Pistons to a 106-92 win over the Brooklyn Nets Sunday. Cunningham was one of six players in double figures for Detroit. Tobias Harris and Malik Beasley scored 18 points each, Jaden Ivey finished with 15, Tim Hardaway Jr. added 14 and Jalen Duren had 13 for the Pistons. Duren also grabbed 17 rebounds, and Detroit has won two of its last three games.

Jalen Johnson's 29 points lead the Hawks past the depleted Pelicans, 126-111
The AP reports: Jalen Johnson scored 29 points and the Atlanta Hawks snapped a four-game skid with a 126-111 victory over the short-handed New Orleans Pelicans on Sunday night. Pelicans star forward Zion Williamson was scratched from the lineup with right hamstring tightness shortly before the game, leaving Brandon Ingram as the club's only usual starter in uniform. Ingram scored 32, but it wasn't enough to overcome a Hawks squad with six players with at least 11 points.

Luka Doncic scores 32 points, Mavericks overwhelm Banchero-less Magic 108-85
The AP reports: Luka Doncic had 32 points, nine rebounds and seven assists, Daniel Gafford scored a season-high 18 points, and the Dallas Mavericks beat the Orlando Magic 108-85 on Sunday night. The defending Western Conference champions outscored the Magic 30-9 in the first 9:30 of the second quarter en route to a 65-40 halftime lead. Dallas’ largest lead was 33 points. Orlando played its second game without Paolo Banchero, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2022 draft and 2023 Rookie of the Year, who suffered a torn right oblique last Wednesday.

The AP reports: Ja Morant had 26 points, 14 assists and 10 rebounds and helped the Memphis Grizzlies build a 31-point second-half cushion and beat the Milwaukee Bucks 122-99 on Thursday night. Santi Aldama added 19 points and nine rebounds, while Scotty Pippen Jr. and Jaylen Wells finished with 16 points each as the Grizzlies snapped a two-game skid. Memphis ended the night shooting 52%, including Morant going 9 for 16. Seven Grizzlies players finished in double figures.

Jalen Green, Alperen Sengun help Rockets hold off late Mavericks rally to win 108-102
The AP reports: Jalen Green had 23 points and 12 rebounds, Alperen Sengun added 17 points and 12 rebounds, and the Houston Rockets held off a fourth-quarter Dallas rally to beat the Mavericks 108-102 on Thursday night. The Rockets led by 23 points late in the third quarter before the defending Western Conference champions cut Houston's lead to 103-100 with a minute to play.

Wembanyama has 25 points and nine rebounds to lead Spurs to 106-88 win over Jazz
The AP reports: Victor Wembanyama had 25 points and nine rebounds to lead the San Antonio Spurs to a 106-88 victory over the Utah Jazz on Thursday night. Wembanyama also had seven assists, five steals, and five blocks, getting at least five in five categories for the second time in his career. Chris Paul added 19 points, 10 assists, and six rebounds for the Spurs. Collin Sexton led the Jazz with 16 points, and John Collins added 14 points and 11 rebounds. Utah played without starting forward Lauri Markkanen who was out with back spasms.

Booker and Durant lead Suns to 125-1119 comeback win over Clippers
The AP reports: Devin Booker scored 40 points, Kevin Durant added 18, and the Phoenix Suns rallied from a 21-point deficit to beat the Los Angeles Clippers 125-119 on Thursday night. Booker made a corner 3-pointer to put Phoenix ahead 108-105 with 5:15 remaining as the Suns scored 73 points in the second half to take their second win in eight days at the Clippers’ new arena. Booker and Durant got going in the third to get the Suns back in it, combining for 20 points. Royce O'Neale, who finished with 21 points, and Ryan Dunn, who had 16, also had some timely long-distance shots after the break.

The AP reports: Bilal Coulibaly scored a career-high 27 points, and the Washington Wizards beat Atlanta 133-120 on Wednesday night for the second win over the Hawks in three days. The Wizards swept the home-and-home series with the Hawks after a 121-119 win over Atlanta on Monday. Trae Young had 35 points and 15 assists for Atlanta, but Washington took control with a 16-4 run at the start of the fourth quarter. Atlanta was missing two starters in Dyson Daniels (right hip) and De'Andre Hunter (right knee), plus Bogdan Bogdanovic (right hamstring). Washington was without starting forward Kyle Kuzma (right groin).

Pascal Siakam scores 29 points and makes tiebreaking 3 to send Pacers past Celtics 135-132 in OT
The AP reports: Pascal Siakam scored the last of his 29 points on a 3-pointer with 6.1 seconds left in overtime to give the Indiana Pacers a 135-132 victory over the previously unbeaten Boston Celtics on Wednesday night. Siakam tied his single-game career high with six 3s and grabbed 11 rebounds. Bennedict Mathurin scored 21 of his 30 points in the second half, and Tyrese Haliburton had 17 points and 12 assists. The victory ended Indiana's three-game losing streak.

Tobias Harris returns to Philadelphia to help the Pistons win for the first time this season, 105-95
The AP reports: Tobias Harris had 18 points and 14 rebounds in his Philadelphia return and the Detroit Pistons won for the first time in five games this season, beating the 76ers 105-95 on Wednesday night. Harris joined Detroit - 14-68 last season - in the offseason as a free agent after six seasons with the 76ers. Jaden Ivey scored 23 points for the Pistons, Cade Cunningham added 22 and Tim Hardaway Jr. had 16. Philadelphia (1-3) trailed by 21 in the second half in its fourth game without All-Star Joel Embiid (left knee injury maintenance) and Paul George (left knee bone bruise).

Cavaliers blow out Lakers 134-110 as Bronny James scores first NBA points as dad watches from bench
The AP reports: Evan Mobley scored 25 points, Donovan Mitchell added 24 and the Cleveland Cavaliers improved to 5-0 with a 134-110 win over the Los Angeles Lakers on Wednesday night in a game that included a special homecoming for LeBron James and his son, Bronny. The win marks the first time the Cavs have started 5-0 since the 2016-17 season, led by LeBron, and the third time in franchise history. In the final minutes, Bronny played for the second time as a pro and was inserted with 5:16 left. The younger James, who grew up in the arena, made a 14-foot jumper with 2:03 to play for his first NBA points.

Tre Mann scores 27, Hornets get 72 points from their bench to beat Raptors 138-133 for 1st home win
The AP reports: Tre Mann scored 27 points off the bench, Nick Richards had 24 points and 14 rebounds and the Charlotte Hornets defeated the Toronto Raptors 138-133 on Wednesday night for their first home win of the season. Cody Martin had a career-high 25 points, and LaMelo Ball scored 19 for Charlotte, which allowed a 23-point first half lead to evaporate before recapturing it with a 12-0 run to end the third quarter. RJ Barrett had 31 points, Gradey Dick had a career-high 30 and Jakob Poeltl had 20 points and 16 rebounds to lead the Raptors, playing without Scottie Barnes.

Karl-Anthony Towns scores 44 points, Knicks rally in 2nd half to beat Heat 116-107
The AP reports: Karl-Anthony Towns had 44 points and 12 rebounds, Jalen Brunson scored 18 of his 22 points in the second half and the New York Knicks rallied to beat the Miami Heat 116-107 on Wednesday night. Towns had the fourth-most points for the Knicks against the Heat. Jamal Crawford scored 52 in 2007, Carmelo Anthony had 50 at Miami in 2013 and RJ Barrett 46 in 2022. Mikal Bridges added 17 points for New York, which trailed by 13 in the third quarter before flipping the game. OG Anunoby had 11 points and Josh Hart finished with 10 points, 14 rebounds and six assists.

Dennis Schroder scores 33 points, the Nets beat the turnover-prone Grizzlies 119-106
The AP reports: Dennis Schroder had 33 points and eight assists, Cam Thomas added 19 points and the Brooklyn Nets beat the Memphis Grizzlies 119-106 on Wednesday night. Ziaire Williams, who started his NBA career with Memphis before an offseason trade, had 17 points. Jaren Jackson Jr. led Memphis with 30 points, connecting on 10 of 12 shots, including all three of his 3-pointers. Ja Morant had 14 points, 11 assists and eight rebounds, but was 5 of 16 from the field and made only one of his six shots from outside the arc.

Bulls hold on to beat Magic 102-99 after both teams struggle in 4th quarter
The AP reports: Coby White scored 21 points, Josh Giddey added 20 and the Bulls beat the Magic 102-99 on Wednesday night. Nikola Vucevic added 18 points and 14 rebounds in Chicago's second-straight win. Paolo Banchero scored 31 points for Orlando two days after scoring 50 against the Pacers, but it wasn't enough. Jalen Suggs, who missed a fading jump shot in the final seconds, had 17.

Anfernee Simons rallies Trail Blazers to 106-105 win over Clippers with 25-point performance
The AP reports: Anfernee Simons scored 25 points, Deandre Ayton had 15 points and 12 rebounds and the Portland Trail Blazers rallied to beat the Los Angeles Clippers 106-105 on Wednesday night. Deni Avdija had 13 points and 10 rebounds and made a game-saving block when he stuffed Norman Powell on a fast break with 29 seconds remaining to preserve a one-point lead. Scoot Henderson added 14 points and Toumani Camara had 12 points for Portland, which trailed the entire fourth quarter until Simons made a go-ahead layup with 2:44 remaining.

Jokic has 29 points, 18 rebounds and 16 assists to lead Nuggets past Nets 144-139 in OT
The AP reports: Nikola Jokic had 29 points, 18 rebounds and 16 assists, becoming only the second player in NBA history to reach those totals in a game, and the Denver Nuggets beat the Brooklyn Nets 144-139 in overtime on Tuesday night. Jamal Murray and Aaron Gordon each scored 24 points for the Nuggets, while Russell Westbrook added 22. Dennis Schroder scored 28 points for Brooklyn, which led by 17 in the second quarter.

Sabonis scores 28 points as the Kings run past the punchless Jazz, 113-96
The AP reports: Domantas Sabonis had 28 points and 11 rebounds, De'Aaron Fox added 19 points and the Sacramento Kings dominated the reeling Utah Jazz 113-96 on Tuesday night. The AP reports: Darius Garland scored a season-high 34 points, 15 in the fourth quarter, and the Cleveland Cavaliers improved to 4-0 by beating the New York Knicks 110-104 on Monday night. Donovan Mitchell added 25 points, Evan Mobley had 17 and Jarrett Allen finished with 15 points and 15 rebounds for the Cavaliers, off to their best start since beginning defense of their 2016 NBA title by starting 6-0. Jalen Brunson had 21 points and seven assists for the Knicks (1-2), who led by 13 in the second half.

Nikola Jokic scores 40, Nuggets rally from 15 down to beat Raptors for first win of season
The AP reports: Nikola Jokic scored seven of his 40 points in overtime, and the Denver Nuggets overcame a 15-point deficit to beat the Toronto Raptors 127-125 on Monday night. Canadian star Jamal Murray sent the game to overtime by making a reverse layup for the Nuggets with less than a second remaining in regulation. Jokic also grabbed 10 rebounds. Aaron Gordon had 16 points and 11 boards for Denver.

Butler scores 23, Rozier adds 20 and Heat pull away in 4th to beat Pistons 106-98
The AP reports: Jimmy Butler had 23 points and seven assists, Terry Rozier added 20 points and the Miami Heat beat the Detroit Pistons 106-98 on Monday night. Tyler Herro scored 19, Bam Adebayo added 12 points and 10 rebounds, and Jaime Jaquez Jr. also scored 12 for the Heat. Cade Cunningham scored 24 points for Detroit, which is 0-4 for the third time in the last five seasons.

Jordan Poole scored 26 points for Washington, and reserve Corey Kispert had 21 points. The Wizards improved to 1-2 after two one-sided defeats. Jalen Johnson led the Hawks with 29 points.

LaVine, Vucevic key fourth-quarter rally as Bulls defeat Grizzlies 126-123

Nikola Vucevic finished with 22 points for the Bulls. Desmond Bane led Memphis with 30 points, making 11 of 19 shots, including 6 of 10 from 3-point range.

Jalen Green scores 34 points and Rockets beat Spurs 106-101 to split 2-game set
The AP reports: Jalen Green scored 34 points and the Houston Rockets never trailed in a 106-101 victory over Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs on Monday night. Jabari Smith added 17 points and Alperen Sengun had 12 points and 12 rebounds for Houston. The Rockets rebounded from a 109-106 loss to the Spurs on Saturday to close out a two-game set in San Antonio.

The AP reports: Kyrie Irving scored 23 points and Klay Thompson added 18 to lift the Dallas Mavericks over the Utah Jazz 110-102 on Monday night. Jazz forward Taylor Hendricks was wheeled off on a stretcher with a broken leg midway through the third quarter after he fell to the floor without any contact near the baseline beneath Utah’s basket. The team said he had a fractured right fibula and dislocated ankle. Luke Doncic had 15 points, nine rebounds and eight assists on an off shooting night.

Booker scores 33, Durant adds 30 as the Suns rally for 109-105 win and hand Lakers first loss
The AP reports: Devin Booker scored 33 points, Kevin Durant added 30 and the Phoenix Suns rallied to beat the Los Angeles Lakers 109-105 on Monday night. The Lakers took an 83-76 advantage into the fourth, but couldn't hold on, suffering their first loss of the season after winning three in a row. Durant made back-to-back jumpers to give the Suns a 105-101 lead with 2:17 left. LeBron James responded with a 3-pointer with 1:58 left to cut the margin to 105-104, but the Lakers never regained the lead.

De'Aaron Fox scores 24 points, surpasses 10,000 for career as Kings beat Trail Blazers 111-98
The AP reports: De’Aaron Fox scored 24 points and surpassed 10,000 for his career, DeMar DeRozan added 23 points and the Sacramento Kings beat the Portland Trail Blazers 111-98 on Monday night for their first win of the season. Fox became the fifth player in franchise history to reach the 10,000 mark when he made a 3-pointer in the third quarter. The Kings never trailed, expanding a 60-58 lead midway through the third quarter to 26 points in the fourth. DeAndre Ayton had 20 points and 11 rebounds for the Blazers, joining Bill Walton as the only players in franchise history to start a season with four straight double-doubles.

Caleb Martin added 17 points and 12 rebounds for Philadelphia, while Eric Gordon finished with 15 points in the return to his home state. Andre Drummond scored nine points and grabbed 17 rebounds.

Thomas scores 32, Nets beat Bucks 115-102 in home opener for first win under Jordi Fernandez
The AP reports: Cam Thomas scored 32 points, Dennis Schroder added 29 and the Brooklyn Nets beat the Milwaukee Bucks 115-102 on Sunday in their home opener to give coach Jordi Fernandez his first victory. The Nets pulled away in the fourth quarter after opening with two road losses in their first season under Fernandez, a native of Badalona, Spain. Thomas scored 11 in the final period to surpass the 30 points he had averaged in the first two games.

Jerami Grant scores 28 and Blazers beat Pelicans 125-103 for first win of the season
The AP reports: Jerami Grant scored 28 points to lead the Portland Trail Blazers to a 125-103 victory over the New Orleans Pelicans on Sunday for their first win of the season. Anfernee Simons pitched in 27 points and six assists as the Blazers bounced back from a 105-103 loss to the Pelicans on Friday. Deandre Ayton finished with a double-double of 17 points and 12 rebounds. CJ McCollum had 27 points to lead the Pelicans in the second of a two-game set against his former team.

Gilgeous-Alexander's 35 points help Thunder pull away for 128-104 win over Hawks
The AP reports: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander had 35 points, 11 rebounds and nine assists, and the Oklahoma City Thunder beat the Atlanta Hawks 128-104 on Sunday night in a matchup of teams that had won their first two games. Gilgeous-Alexander fell just short of what would have been his third career triple-double. Chet Holmgren had 25 points, nine rebounds and six blocks and Jalen Williams added 20 points and nine rebounds for the Thunder.

Clippers hold off Warriors as Stephen Curry goes down injured
The AP reports: Stephen Curry left midway through the fourth quarter with a left ankle injury as Ivica Zubac and the Los Angeles Clippers spoiled the Golden State Warriors’ home opener with a 112-104 win Sunday night. Zubac had 23 points and 18 rebounds. Andrew Wiggins scored 29 points with a 3-pointer at the 3:47 mark of the fourth that made it a one-point game, Curry added 18 with six assists but left for good at the 7:55 mark. He tweaked his ankle late in the third then briefly tried to return with 8:08 left in the game before sitting down for good.
