Erick Dampier has shoulder surgery
By InsideHoops.com | June 15, 2007
Mavericks center Erick Dampier underwent successful shoulder surgery to repair a small tear of his right rotator cuff. The surgery was performed in Dallas by Dr. Richard Levy.
No timetable has been set for his return. He will begin rehabilitation in approximately one week.
Dampier in the 2006-07 season played 25.2 minutes per game and averaged 7.1 points and 7.4 rebounds per game, with 62.6% shooting.
However, in the playoffs Dampier only received 7.6 minutes per game, averaging 1.0 points and 3.4 rebounds.
He's the best center on the team, but not an essential roster piece.
