Clippers sign Kaniel Dickens to 10-day contract

The Los Angeles Clippers today signed free agent forward Kaniel Dickens to a 10-day contract. Dickens, in his third NBA season, has career averages of 1.4 points, 0.8 rebounds and 5.2 minutes in 14 career games in parts of two seasons with Portland and New Jersey.
Dickens signed with Dallas prior to the 2005-06 season and averaged 6.0 points, 1.3 rebounds and 9.0 minutes in three games before being released. Dickens then signed with the Fayetteville Patriots of the NBADL, where he averaged 14.2 points and 6.8 rebounds per game.
The 6’8” Dickens signed with the Clippers prior to the 2004-05 season and averaged 3.6 points and 2.0 rebounds in five preseason games with Los Angeles before being released on October 28, 2004.
After being released by the Clippers, Dickens signed with New Jersey and averaged 1.1 points, 0.8 rebounds and 5.5 minutes in 11 games with Nets.
Originally selected by Utah with the 50th overall selection in the 2000 NBA Draft, Dickens made his NBA debut with the Portland Trail Blazers during the 2003-04 season and averaged 2.3 points, 0.7 rebounds and 4.0 minutes in three games.
