The 2006 NBA Finals will tip off on Thursday, June
8 and will feature the Miami Heat vs. the Dallas Mavericks in their first
Finals appearance. ABC Sports is the exclusive home of The Finals with
Mike Breen and Basketball Hall-of-Famer Hubie Brown calling the action. The
Finals will be televised in 205 countries, through a record 112 telecasters
and an all-time high of 46 languages.
GLOBAL REACH
· More than 156 international media from 20 countries and territories will
cover the Finals
· 205 countries will receive complete live television coverage of The
Finals
· Record 112 telecasters will broadcast The Finals
· The Finals will be broadcast in a record 46 languages

· 400,000 feet in film, video and high-definition tape will be shot
by NBAE camera crews
· 35,000 feet in film will be shot by NBAE camera crews
· More than 400 hours of The Finals coverage will air on NBA TV,
league's 24-hour channel
· 12 NBAE video crews will cover each game
· 10 NBA Entertainment-produced shows on site, including: NBA Inside
Stuff (ABC), NBA Matchup (ESPN), NBA TV live coverage, NBA Action, NBA
Jam (Distributed around the world), NBA TV Insiders, Live at the Finals
with Ahmad Rashad, Digital video elements gathered for NBA.com, NBA TV

NBA PHOTOS
· 10,000 new photographic images will be generated each game
· 3,000 print and Internet media outlets will receive real-time digital
photos from NBA Photos, which will also provide live digital coverage
posting of several hundred digital photos to the NBAE Photos Forum for use
by International media, teams and business partners
· 150 rolls of film per game will be used by NBAE photographers
· 40 conventional and digital still cameras will be used in the arena
every game day. Digital images give fans an opportunity to purchase via the
on-line NBA Photo Store action photos from each of the games which will be
available immediately following the game
· 15 NBAE still photographers will be on site
NETWORK TELEVISION
· 25 cameras-all HD. This year marks the first all HD Finals on ABC
· 75 microphones, including those embedded in the court
· 20 miles of camera and microphone cable
