Fred Jones Mini-Interview
By InsideHoops.com / Jan. 2, 2005
Indiana Pacers guard Fred Jones is one of the best NBA dunkers. And in 2004 All-Star weekend he officially proved it, beating two-time NBA Slam Dunk champion Jason Richardson. InsideHoops.com editor Jeff Lenchiner recently met with Jones in Madison Square Garden and asked a good dunk-related question.
InsideHoops.com: The Fred Jones slam dunk contest. You run it, and you can invite the dunkers. And you'd be in it, too, of course. Who do you pick?
Fred Jones: In the league right now?
InsideHoops.com: In the league or elsewhere, whatever you want.
Fred Jones: I'd probably go with JR Smith, Josh Smith, Vince, J-Rich, LeBron... and I'll say in a year from now, little Nate Robinson from the University of Washington.
