InsideHoops.com editor Jeff Lenchiner met with Kevin Garnett for what we like to call a "mini-interview." In the interview, KG confirms exclusively to InsideHoops.com that he is definitely considering the possibility of joining the U.S. Olympic basketball team, which will compete in the 2004 Olympics in Athens, Greece. It's already been reported that KG has repeatedly been asked, and he has not said no. InsideHoops.com reports that it's a definite possibility he joins the team.

InsideHoops.com: KG, what did you do this summer?

Kevin Garnett: Just tried to get in position to be ready for the year...

InsideHoops.com: What fun stuff did you do?

Kevin Garnett: Travel. Travel is always fun for me. I love seeing different places, I love seeing overseas, I love seeing different things.

InsideHoops.com: Where'd you go in particular?

Kevin Garnett: I'm a big Haawai person. I'm big on the Bahamas. I think next year I got to plan a trip to go to Paris and the South of France. And take the guys to Amsterdam. Trying to really put together a [thing] for all of us going to Rio. So that should be fun. But I know I got this Olympic thing they're sort of throwing at me a little bit, so I got to figure that whole thing out. But once I do, man, I'll figure it out. But those are the planned trips for now.

InsideHoops.com: So what are your thoughts on playing in the 2004 Olympics now?

Kevin Garnett: No thoughts right now (laughs). Just thinking.

InsideHoops.com: So you are definitely thinking about it, at least.

Kevin Garnett: I'm totally thinking about it.

InsideHoops.com: Because a year ago or so it sounded like you weren't interested.

Kevin Garnett: Well, you know what, my main focus is this right here (the Timberwolves). I don't want anything to distract my fantasy. This is a fantasy for me here. I love the fact that I feel like I'm gaming right now, and should go with that. I don't want to mess anything up. I don't want anything to cloud my vision right now.

InsideHoops.com: You know, everyone is talking about the Wolves right now. You guys have the squad.

Kevin Garnett: Anybody mess this up, it's going to be us. We're excited.
