Lindsey Hunter suspended 10 games after testing positive for banned substance
By Jeff Lenchiner | Mar. 7, 2007
On the same day that Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant was suspended one game for karate-chopping Marko Jaric like he did Manu Ginobili, a much bigger suspension was announced.
The NBA announced today that Lindsey Hunter of
the Detroit Pistons has been suspended without pay for 10 games for
testing positive for phentermine, a substance banned by the NBA/NBPA
Anti-Drug Program. Hunter’s suspension will begin with tonight’s game
between the Detroit Pistons and the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Hunter just had one of his best games in a long time, scoring 20 points, including four three-pointers, in Detroit's Monday loss to the Golden State Warriors.
This news comes out of nowhere and is pretty shocking. I'll look into it and update this page in the next hour or so.
