THE MOST POPULAR NBA JERSEYS
Ten-time NBA All-Star LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers secured the top spots as the NBA’s Most Popular Jersey and Team Merchandise, respectively, based on overall sales from adidas and NBAStore.com from October 2014 through December 2014.
This marks the fifth consecutive time James has claimed the No. 1 position on the list and his second such honor as a member of the Cavaliers. At No. 2 on the list is Golden State Warriors sensation Stephen Curry, whose successful season propelled him from the No. 7 spot. Rounding out the top five are the Oklahoma City Thunder’s Kevin Durant (No. 3), the Los Angeles Lakers’ Kobe Bryant (No. 4), and the Chicago Bulls’ Derrick Rose (No. 5).

- 2014 NBA All-Stars Damian Lillard (No. 11) and Anthony Davis (No. 15) make their debut on the list.

Reigning NBA Finals MVP LeBron James of the Miami Heat reclaims the No.1 spot on the NBA top-selling jerseys list and the New York Knicks are the top-selling team for the first time since December 2004. The list is based on sales at the NBA Store on Fifth Avenue and on NBAStore.com from April 2012 through Nov. 26, 2012, a record breaking Thanksgiving holiday weekend.
James, who last held the top spot in April 2011, climbs from No. 4, taking the lead away from the Chicago Bulls’ Derrick Rose, who slips to No. 5. At No. 2 on the list is the Oklahoma City Thunder’s Kevin Durant, who, after making his NBA Finals debut in June, catapults from the No. 8 spot. Also included in the top five are the Los Angeles Lakers’ Kobe Bryant (No. 3), and New York Knicks’ Carmelo Anthony (No. 4).
Since 2001, Bryant has claimed the No. 1 position six times in the bi-annual survey, while James has held it three times.
The Knicks rose from No. 2 to No.1 to emerge as the top-selling team, overtaking the top spot from the Bulls, who are No. 4 this season. The 2012 NBA champion Heat came in at No. 2, the Lakers at No. 3, and Boston Celtics at No. 5.

· The Thunder’s Russell Westbrook debuts at No. 12.

Reigning NBA MVP Derrick Rose and the
Chicago Bulls secured the top spots as the NBA’s Most Popular Jersey and
Team Merchandise, respectively, based on sales at the temporary NBA Store
on Fifth Avenue and on NBAStore.com from April 2011 to present.
Rose, who climbed from No. 5 last year to No. 1 on the jersey list for the
first time in his career, helped the Bulls reclaim the top overall spot in
team merchandise sales for the first time since April 2001.
At No. 2 on the list is New York Knicks sensation Jeremy Lin, whose
breakout season also propelled him to the most popular jersey spot for
February and March. Rounding out the top five are Los Angeles Lakers’ Kobe
Bryant (No. 3), Miami Heat’s LeBron James (No. 4) and the Knicks’ Carmelo
Anthony (No. 5). Since 2001, Bryant has claimed the No. 1 position six
times and James has held it twice.
The Knicks, who also have Amar’e Stoudemire (No. 11) on the jersey list,
advanced two spots from last year to No. 2 on this year’s team list
followed by the Lakers (No. 3), Heat (No. 4), and the 2011 NBA Champion
Dallas Mavericks (No. 5). Prior to this year, the Lakers occupied the top
spot in team merchandise since the end of the 2008 season.
Additional highlights:
· The Mavericks’ first NBA championship resulted in the team and The
Finals MVP Dirk Nowitzki (No. 7) both joining the top jersey and team
merchandise list (No.5) for the first time since 2008.
· The Los Angeles Clippers make their presence known with two players

LeBron James of the Miami Heat has grabbed the
No. 1 spot on the NBA’s Most Popular Jerseys list, regaining the top
ranking for the first time since April 2004. Los Angeles Lakers’ guard Kobe
Bryant, who has owned the position since the start of the 2008-09 season,
finished second overall for the 2010-11 season, while Rajon Rondo of the
Boston Celtics rounds out the top three for the first time in his career.
Four Boston Celtics aside from Rondo – Shaquille O’Neal (No. 12), Ray Allen
(No. 13), Paul Pierce (No. 14), and Kevin Garnett (No. 15) – appear in the
top 15, marking the first time five players from the same team have earned
a place on the list.
Rookies John Wall of the Washington Wizards and Blake Griffin of the Los
Angeles Clippers debut on the list at Nos. 10 and 11, respectively.
As the Lakers try for a third consecutive championship, their gear
continues to be in high demand topping the NBA’s list of most popular team
merchandise for the eighth time in the last nine seasons. The Celtics
remain in the No. 2 spot, where they have been since the start of the
2008-09 season. The Heat, the New York Knicks, and the Chicago Bulls round
out the top five. For the first time, the Oklahoma City Thunder landed in
the top 10 at No. 6.
This year marks the fifth season that adidas has served as the official
oncourt uniform and apparel provider of the NBA.

The Los Angeles Lakers’ Kobe Bryant once again
tops the NBA’s list of most popular jerseys, where he has reigned as No. 1
since the start of the 2008-09 season. The list is based on sales at the
NBA Store in New York City and on NBAStore.com since the start of the
2009-10 NBA season through April 2010. Both stores are having record sales
years with a combined increase of 20 percent over last year.
Thirteen players competing in the 2010 Playoffs appear on this year’s list.
The Cleveland Cavaliers’ LeBron James remains No. 2 and the Boston Celtics’
Kevin Garnett climbed one spot from last year to No. 3. Chicago Bulls
sophomore Derrick Rose continues to make a name for himself, coming in at
No. 4, while the Orlando Magic’s Dwight Howard rounds out the top 5. The
Oklahoma City Thunder’s Kevin Durant debuts in the top 10 for the first
time, landing at No. 9, while the Denver Nuggets’ Carmelo Anthony moves
from No. 15 to No. 10.
High demand for Los Angeles Lakers merchandise continues, as the team tops
the NBA’s list of most popular team merchandise. Lakers merchandise has
been the most popular among fans for seven out of the last eight seasons.
The Celtics remain in the No. 2 spot, where they’ve been since the start of

the top spot on the NBA’s Most Popular Jerseys list, the ranking he has
held since the start of the 2008-09 season. The rankings are based on sales
at the NBA Store in New York City and NBAStore.com since the start of the
2009-10 NBA season.
The Cleveland Cavaliers’ LeBron James maintains the No. 2 spot, while the
Orlando Magic’s Dwight Howard and the Chicago Bulls’ Derrick Rose appear in
the Top 5 for the first time. Howard makes a dramatic jump, moving from No.
10 to No. 3 on this year’s list. Rose’s popularity continues to grow and
moves into the No.4 spot from No.11 last season. The Miami Heat’s Dwyane
Wade rounds out the Top 5.
Shaquille O’Neal makes his way back into the Top 10 for the first time
since June 2008 at the No. 9 spot, while Kevin Durant re-emerges on the
list for the first time since January 2008. Denver Nuggets’ Carmelo Anthony
also moved up the list from No. 15 to No. 11.
The Los Angeles Lakers once again top the list of Most Popular NBA Team
Merchandise. The Boston Celtics hold on to the No.2 spot for the second

The Los Angeles Lakers’ Kobe Bryant has the most
popular jersey in the NBA, moving up three spots from the end of last
season on the NBA's Most Popular Jersey List. Bryant, who had the most
popular jersey during the 2002-03 season, regained the lead from the Miami
Heat’s Dwyane Wade who held the top spot since May 2005. Wade drops to No.
2 on the list and the Cleveland Cavaliers’ LeBron James comes in at No.3.
The rankings are based on jersey sales at the NBA Store on Fifth Avenue in
New York City and NBAStore.com since the start of the 2006-07 NBA season
through Dec. 31, 2006.
New teammates Allen Iverson and Carmelo Anthony of the Denver Nuggets round
out the top five with the fourth and fifth most popular jerseys,
respectively. Following the Dec. 19 trade to the Nuggets from the
Philadelphia 76ers, Iverson moved up three spots on the list from his No. 7
rank before the trade.
The Los Angeles Lakers remained No. 1 on the league’s Most Popular Team
Merchandise List for the fifth consecutive season, while the NBA Champion
Miami Heat moved up one spot to second. The New York Knicks rank third and
the Chicago Bulls are fourth. The Cleveland Cavaliers made the largest jump
on the list this year, moving up to No. 5 from No. 8 last year.
The Washington Wizards’ Gilbert Arenas and 2006 T-Mobile Rookie of the Year
