By InsideHoops.com / Nov. 15, 2004
A quick talk with Los Angeles Clippers rookie Shaun Livingston, a 6-7, 182-pound point guard who jumped straight into the league from Peoria Central High School in Illinois. We'll do a full-length interview with Shaun later. For now, here's a 30-second chat.
InsideHoops.com: How's everything going so far?
Shaun Livingston: It's going good. Just the maturing process. Got a lot of things to work on. I've been getting a little bit of playing time, but mainly just worried about getting the wins.
InsideHoops.com: What's been easy so far, and what need to be worked on for you?
Shaun Livingston: Working on getting stronger, working on my leadership skills. Getting everybody in the right position at the right time.
InsideHoops.com: What's been surprising about the NBA style of play, and what hasn't surprised you?
Shaun Livingston: Nothing has really surprised me yet. I've basically just been preparing myself for it.
InsideHoops.com: Has anyone on the Clippers been helping you more than anyone else?
Shaun Livingston: Rick Brunson has been helped me out a little bit, and obviously Chicago guys, Bobby Simmons and Corey Maggette, just looking out after me, trying to guide me a little bit.
InsideHoops.com: You were just in high school six months ago, and now you're here. Do you think about college at all?
Shaun Livingston: Not really. It's going by. I'd like to go back, but right now I'm worried about the season.
