Jamaal Magloire Mini-Interview
By InsideHoops.com | Dec. 12, 2005
Milwaukee Bucks center Jamaal Magloire is averaging 8.7 points, 10.2 blocks (#10 in the league) and 1.5 blocks per game this season. The 6-11, 260-pound Toronto native was traded to the Bucks from the Hornets just a few days before the season started. He's been a decent fit. InsideHoops.com caught up with him before Monday's game in New York for a quick exclusive interview.
InsideHoops.com: What would you say is going well for the Bucks as a team so far?
Jamaal Magloire: I think everybody's playing well. I think we've been able to win some close games, and team is in sync.
InsideHoops.com: And what needs improvement, more than anything else?
Jamaal Magloire: I think we can get everybody involved a little bit better. And play more consistent... better defense.
InsideHoops.com: You were thrown into the Bucks mix pretty quickly, and now you've had time to settle in. How do things feel so far?
Jamaal Magloire: It's been going alright. My teammates have been very receptive to me coming here. I've been able to play.
InsideHoops.com: It seems the team is content to let you, Andrew Bogut and other big guys settle and fit in, without trying to unleash any of you as major offensive weapons.
Jamaal Magloire: I agree. I think that everybody has a role on this team. We're winning games.
InsideHoops.com: And off the court, have you finally finished moving to the city?
Jamaal Magloire: Yeah, I'm moved to the city now. And I'm now starting to get acquainted to Milwaukee.
InsideHoops.com: And have you gotten to go out, do stuff, have fun in the city?
Jamaal Magloire: I haven't been out to see that much. The fans are really good, which is important... I haven't been able to go out at all.
