Nuggets sign Jelani McCoy

The Denver Nuggets have signed F/C Jelani McCoy, team Vice President of Basketball Operations Mark Warkentien announced today. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not released.
McCoy, 6-10, 245, averaged 8.0 ppg, 6.5 rpg, 4.00 bpg and 3.5 apg in two games this season with the L.A. D-Fenders of the NBA Development League. His signing marks the second Gatorade call-up of the 2007-08 season and the 92nd overall since the D-League began play in November 2001.
This preseason, McCoy played in four games with the Nuggets, averaging 4.5 ppg and 5.5 rpg before being waived on Oct. 23.
McCoy has played seven NBA seasons with Seattle, L.A. Lakers, Toronto, Cleveland and Atlanta. During his most recent NBA stint, he averaged 1.5 ppg and 2.1 rpg in 10 games with Atlanta during the 2004-05 season. He currently holds career averages of 4.7 ppg and 3.6 rpg in 254 career appearances.
