Patrick O'Bryant Scouting Report:

InsideHoops.com: Patrick O'Bryant is a huge, steady, true center with length and bulk who rebounds, blocks shots, and only really takes and makes high-percentage shots. Not too athletic. Not dominant. A late-bloomer and raw center who is still developing his basketball skills. Doubters will say he's going to be an NBA stiff. Supporters will say he's still improving and therefore has plenty of upside.

Patrick O'Bryant Bio/Career Highlights:

Patrick O'Bryant was forced to sit out the first eight games of the 200506 season by the NCAA due to an inadvertent violation of the “extra benefit” rule during the summer.

In just two basketball seasons, Patrick O'Bryant climbed to third place on Bradley’s career blocks list with 147. Ranks 10th in Missouri Valley history in blocks. His career field goal percentage (.554) ranks second in school history.

As a sophomore in 2005-06, O'Bryant led the Missouri Valley Conference in blocks (2.9 bpg) and was named the MVC Defensive Player of the Year. His 72 blocks were good for third on Bradley’s single-season blocks list.

As a freshman in 2004-05, Patrick became the second freshman in Missouri Valley history to lead the conference in blocks (2.8 bpg), joining Benoit Benjamin (Creighton). Finished second in the MVC in rebounding (7.4 rpg). Set Bradley’s freshman record for blocks (75), four shy of the single-season school record.
