James Posey suspended one game for cheap foul
InsideHoops.com NewsWire | Dec. 29, 2006
Miami Heat forward James Posey has been
suspended for one game without pay for committing a Flagrant Foul,
Penalty Two against Chicago’s Luol Deng, it was announced today by Stu
Jackson, NBA Executive Vice President, Basketball Operations.
The incident occurred with 7:16 remaining in the fourth period of the
Heat’s 109-103 loss to the Bulls on Wednesday at United Center. Posey
will serve the suspension tonight when the Heat take on the New Jersey
Nets at AmericanAirlines Arena.
InsideHoops.com agrees with this ruling. In fact, a two-game suspension would have been agreeable as well. Posey has cheap-shotted a number of Bulls players over the last year.
