Rasheed Wallace suspended one game after 16th technical foul

Detroit Pistons forward Rasheed Wallace has always had a problem with referees. They don't appreciate his point of view. And don't enjoy hearing his opinions at all. Now it's hurting the team in dramatic fashion.
On Saturday it was announced by Stu
Jackson, NBA Executive Vice President Basketball Operations that the 6-11, 230-pound power forward has
received an automatic one game suspension without pay after receiving his
16th technical of the 2006-07 season.
A player or coach receives an automatic one-game suspension after receiving
his 16th technical foul. Every other technical foul beyond 16 (18, 20, 22,
ect.) will also result in a one-game suspension without pay.
Wallace received his most recent technical foul with 4:56 remaining in the
second period of last night’s 95-82 win over the Denver Nuggets at the
Pepsi Center. Wallace will serve his suspension tomorrow, Sunday, March 11,
when the Pistons travel to Los Angeles to face the Clippers at the STAPLES
Center.
Wallace definitely gets some technical fouls called against him that he doesn't deserve. He seems to get very little chance to speak to refs at all. Other players get to have full conversations. But even so, it shouldn't be this hard for him to cut down on them.
