Quentin Richardson Mini-Interview
By InsideHoops.com | Nov. 11, 2005
Quentin Richardson is a new member of the New York Knicks, and although he plays some small forward, he's recently been used primarily as a shooting guard. InsideHoops.com met with Richardson a few days ago for a quick exclusive mini-interview. Note that the very next game, against Portland two days ago, Richardson was back starting at the three spot.
InsideHoops.com: Talk about adjusting to the Knicks.
Quentin Richardson: I fit in cool, just trying to get more and more acclimated, missing some time in the preseason, just trying to get back right, get back out there and into the mix of things.
InsideHoops.com: It looks like you might stick to playing shooting guard. Is that just lately, or do you think that'll stick for a while?
Quentin Richardson: Don't really know, don't really know. Just playing everything by ear. Just trying to keep playing hard, that's all.
InsideHoops.com: What are the Knicks as a team good at and what needs improvement?
Quentin Richardson: We just got to continue to mature and get better and things like that. Mature, get better and get used to playing with each other, getting used to the offense. Completely learning the offense. I got a lot of brushing up to do because I don't completely know all of that.
InsideHoops.com: What has Larry Brown said to you personally about what he'd like to see from you?
Quentin Richardson: Just me playing good defense, hustle plays and things like that, that'll help us win games.
