Brian Scalabrine has right hand surgery
InsideHoops.com NewsWire | Apr. 18, 2007
The Boston Celtics announced today that forward Brian Scalabrine underwent successful right hand surgery this morning at New England Baptist Hospital. The surgery was performed by Dr. Hervey Kimball and was assisted by Celtics Team Physician, Dr. Brian McKeon.
Scalabrine appeared in 54 games this season for the Celtics, starting a career high 17. The USC alum averaged 4.0 points and 1.9 rebounds in 19.0 minutes per game this season. Scalabrine scored a season high 17 points against the Los Angeles Lakers on January 31 in Boston.
InsideHoops.com Editor Says: On a successful team Scalabrine makes a good 9th-12th man. If used higher up in a rotation he's going to disappoint. Anyway, I hope his hand surgery was a complete success.
