Sebastian Telfair Mini-Interview
By InsideHoops.com
Sebastian Telfair is a great point guard who is enjoying great success at Lincoln Brooklyn in New York City. The younger cousin of Stephon Marbury, Telfair has dominated high school basketball, and many feel won't be in college very long before trying to make the leap to the NBA. He begins his senior year after the summer. InsideHoops.com met with Telfair in The Sports Club / LA, a beautiful multi-level gym on the East side of Manhattan, for a brief exclusive interview.
InsideHoops.com: So what's on your mind regarding the upcoming season, your senior year?
Sebastian Telfair: I just want to go out and compete, show everyone. Go out and get a three-peat, that's what's definitely on my mind right now. I worked very hard, so I'm trying to come out and dominate, and by doing that I'm trying to get a three-peat.
InsideHoops.com: What's up with going pro? I'm sure it's on your mind.
Sebastian Telfair: Of course it's your mind, it's your dream. You work hard to go to the NBA. But you know, I'm working, and I'm going to go through the process, and wherever God leaves me, that's where I'm going to end up.
InsideHoops.com: Are you going to attention to how TJ Ford does this year in the NBA? He's similar to you in some ways, physically at least, obviously. Will you go out of your way to see how well he does?
Sebastian Telfair: Well, I'm definitely going to watch him this year and see how he performs. And I'm sure he'll do well, because of his certain style of play, he uses speed and he's able to distribute the ball to his teammates, so I'm definitely going to watch him and see how he do in the NBA.
InsideHoops.com: Any idea right now what you'll do right now as far as the pros vs college?
Sebastian Telfair: Do I have any idea right now, no. It's God's decision. I'm going to keep working hard.
