Stephen Jackson Mini-Interview
By InsideHoops.com / Apr. 5, 2005
Indiana Pacers legend Reggie Miller is playing what is expected to be his last game in Madison Square Garden. Miller says he's retiring at the end of the season. InsideHoops.com caught up with teammate Stephen Jackson before the game for a few quick words on Reggie.
InsideHoops.com: What kind of stuff have you learned from Reggie Miller, being around him, playing and practicing with him?
Stephen Jackson: I learned how to approach games. He approaches the game with the same, shall I say, intensity, the same focus, the same attitude towards every game. Comes in and watches tape, comes in early and gets shots. If I take anything from him, I'm going to take how he approaches every game and how he's the ultimate professional.
InsideHoops.com: What memories do you have of stuff Reggie did back when you were starting your career, or before you came in?
Stephen Jackson: The shots here. The two back-to-back threes he hit. That's the biggest thing. He got his own highlights from this year; a lot of them were special to me because we're playing together.
InsideHoops.com: The under-nine-seconds, back-to-back threes was insane.
Stephen Jackson: Stole the ball.
InsideHoops.com: It was ridiculous.
Stephen Jackson: That's my most favorite highlight.
