Dwyane Wade to rehab shoulder, no surgery for now
InsideHoops.com NewsWire | Mar. 5, 2007
Miami Heat All-Star guard Dwyane Wade announced today, that after conferring with HEAT team physician Dr. Harlan Selesnick and Dr. James Andrews, he has elected not to have surgery at this time for the dislocation of his left shoulder and instead will begin a 2-3 week rehabilitation process. Wade will be re-evaluated after the 2-3 week period to determine if he can return to action this year or if further rehab will be needed at that time.
Wade suffered the injury in the fourth quarter of Miami’s Feb. 21 contest at Houston. The three-time All-Star leads the team in scoring (28.8 ppg), assists (7.9 apg), steals (2.09 spg), field goals made (445) and attempted (901) and free throws made (413) and attempted (506).
