The Knicks are struggling this season in a big way, but the roster is loaded with players that are interesting to follow. Here's what's up:

Zach Randolph: He's scoring and rebounding as expected. But watch his passing, away-from-ball movement, defense and other parts of his game and see if it grows as he gets used to his new teammates.

Eddy Curry: The big guy isn't rebounding. But he is scoring. Pay attention to how he gets his buckets, and what happens when he goes for boards. And watch how he and Randolph play together.

Jamal Crawford: He can score in dramatic fashion, but he's hitting just 40.5% of his shots. Watch if he just creates shots entirely on his own or if someone else helps him get easy looks.

Stephon Marbury: Perhaps booing from hometown fans inspires him to play on a higher level, as he recently did against the Jazz.

David Lee: The most basketball-smart Knicks player on the offensive side of the floor, watch how Lee catches a pass and immediately tries to keep the play and ball movement going, and appreciate his away-from-ball movement. Defensively, improvement is needed.

Nate Robinson: He showed positive flashes early on but for the season is shooting just 36.7%. Will he ever be a true point guard who makes teammates better?

Quentin Richardson: Tries hard and defense but can't buy a basket this season, shooting a miserable 31.1% and a ridiculously bad 23.5% from three-point range. Watch which shots he gets and the spots he gets those shots.

Fred Jones: He's been athletic, but that's about it.

Wilson Chandler: Doesn't play much, but when he shoots it looks pretty and goes in.

Renaldo Balkman: Good at scrapping, cutting, moving extremely well without the ball in a manner that makes defenders work. He and David Lee are the two most basketball-smart players on the team. Though, Balkman is just a good role player and a source of energy best used in limited minutes off the bench.

Others: Mardy Collins and Jared Jeffries are deep bench players (forget that Collins started three games, that was a fluke). Malik Rose is there to give good veteran quotes in interviews. Jerome James is an insult to pro sports and shouldn't be in the league.

Even if the Knicks keep losing they still have plenty of individual players that are interesting to follow.
