The New Jersey Nets have acquired guard David Wesley from New Orleans in exchange for guard/forward Bernard Robinson, center Mile Ilic and cash considerations, Nets President Rod Thorn announced today.
“This transaction provides the Nets with roster flexibility for the upcoming season”, said Thorn.
Wesley has played 14 seasons in the NBA, including one season in New Jersey (1993-94). He holds career averages of 12.5 points and 4.4 assists per game.
Robinson was acquired by the Nets on January 3, 2007 from the Charlotte Bobcats. He averaged 1.0 point in 10 games with New Jersey last season. Over his three-year NBA career, Robinson has averages of 4.5 points and 2.5 rebounds in 128 games.

Ilic also appeared in nine games with the Colorado 14ers of the NBA Development League in 2006-07, averaging 5.2 points, 4.0 rebounds and 1.78 blocks per game.
