The New Jersey Nets have signed Arizona guard Hassan Adams, the team’s second round draft pick (54th overall) in the recent 2006 NBA Draft, Nets President Rod Thorn announced today. As per club policy, terms of the agreement were not released.
“Hassan is an aggressive player who runs the floor well,” said Thorn. “He will provide needed athleticism and versatility off the bench.”
The 6-4 Adams posted career marks of 14.0 points and 5.4 rebounds in 130 games for the Wildcats, finishing his career as Arizona’s seventh all-time leading scorer with 1,818 points. As a senior, Adams averaged 17.5 points and almost five rebounds in 31 games, earning First Team All-Pac-10 honors. He is the only player in Pac-10 history to record 1,800 points, 700 rebounds and 200 steals in a career.
