Basketball EntertainmentInsideHoops.com, the most influential basketball website in the world, loves general entertainment almost as much as we love basketball. So, this is a basketball entertainment page, but the actual topics don't necessarily have anything to do with hoops or sports. If something is cool in the world of movies, music, TV or anything else worth knowing about, we'll tell you about it here. And if you work in entertainment, contact us if something big is up, like hot new music albums, a big movie coming out. We have a separate section for basketball video games.

OLDER STUFF

Dec. 25, 2006: The new Nas album, "hip hop is dead," is good, but not great. My personal favorite is actually the title track. A bunch of tracks are filler. But it's still a hot album.

Nov. 5, 2006: Jay-Z returned, and the album "Kingdom Come" is extremely good, but not great. It has the same feel as The Black Album, but isn't quite on the same level. The songs I recommend from it are "Oh My God," "Kingdom Come," "Show me what you got" (which got major radio play, and had to grow on me a bit before liking it), Lost Ones (also took a while to grow on me), and "Beach Chair" (huge fan of this type of rap song).

Oct. 30, 2006: I need to see the new Borat movie. Wikipedia says: "Borat has a younger brother Bilo who is mentally ill. The reason for this, Borat says is, "He once have a demon that live in his head so we open his head and place a dry fish inside to eat the demon, but the demon become angry and make Bilo a retard."

Oct. 27, 2006: The InsideHoops.com Best Rapper Ever list: In no particular order, when talking about the best rappers ever, we think of Tupac, Biggie Smalls, Jay-Z, Ice Cube, Chuck D, Slick Rick and Nas.

Oct. 27, 2006: The InsideHoops.com Best Rap Group Ever list: And again in no particular order, when we think of the best rap groups ever, we think of Public Enemy, Run DMC, Wu Tang Clan and the Beastie Boys.

Sept. 12, 2006: Favorite 80's movies Message board movie buffs talk about the best movies from the 1980's, like Karate Kid, Back to the Future and the rest.

Sept. 8, 2006: Favorite Beatles songs? - Message board music fans talk about the best Beatles songs ever.

June 8, 2006: Who is hotter, Jessica Alba or Christina Aguilera? It's discussed on the message board.

June 5, 2006: Last night I watched the season finale of The Sopranos, and as was the case with that show all season long, I was disappointed. There was no real cliff-hanger. Almost no action. And the actual plots, and sub-plots, aren't well-written and aren't too interesting. I watched all season, because it's The Sopranos. And I admit I'll probably watch every single episode of the "Final Eight" next year. But the show this season was slow-moving, not fascinating, and at times, just plain silly.

May 23, 2006: The season finale of "24" on Fox was as good as expected. That show just flat-out rocks. Every segment has a new major plot development. It never slows down. And the finale didn't disappoint.

May 4, 2006: Lil Wayne "Tha Carter II" is one of the best rap albums I've heard in years. The production is great. The flow is dope. THe music, the sounds. It's classic.

April 3, 2006: LL Cool J mini-interview - 30 seconds with the legend.

November 22, 2005: 2005 Miss Universe Swimsuit Photo Gallery - The Miss Universe competition features some of the world's most beautiful women. InsideHoops.com presents a giant photo gallery from the 2005 Miss Universe swimsuit competition.
