Until 2004, EBC streetball just took place in New York City. But as of that summer, the EBC has expanded -- EBC America has weekend-long basketball tournaments in various cities around America. EBC America streetball aims to find the best streetball teams in cities outside of NYC. This goes on all summer. So while EBC at Rucker Park has a complete summer-long season, by the time the EBC has had its playoffs and crowned a champion, EBC America has champions of mini-tournaments in other cities. And then, in New York City in August, EBC America has its playoffs, where the winners of various EBC America cities face off, and the best of all those teams goes against the winner of NYC's EBC for the ultimate summer streetball championship.
