QUICK 2023 NBA SUMMER LEAGUE SUMMARY 2023 NBA Summer League in Las Vegas will feature all 30 NBA teams playing five games each. After every team plays four games, the four teams with the best records from the first four games will meet in the playoffs and participate in a semifinal game on July 16 with the two winners participating in the championship game on Monday, July 17 at 9:00 p.m. ET, televised on ESPN. The 26 teams that do not play in the Championship Game will play a fifth game on July 15 or July 16.

2019 LAS VEGAS NBA SUMMER LEAGUE

The matchup between New Orleans Pelicans forward Zion Williamson and New York Knicks guard-forward RJ Barrett two of the top three picks in the 2019 NBA Draft highlights the 11-day, 83-game schedule for 2019 NBA Summer League in Las Vegas. Williamson and the Pelicans face Barrett and the Knicks on Friday, July 5 at 9:30 p.m. ET, televised nationally on ESPN.
For the second year in a row, every Vegas NBA Summer League game will air live on television, on ESPN networks and NBA TV. Each game will either be on ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU or NBA TV.
For those keeping track of Zion, he also plays the very next day on Saturday, July 6, facing Rui Hachimura and the Washington Wizards at 10 p.m. ET on ESPN. Hachimura became the first Japanese-born player selected in the first round by an NBA team when the Wizards picked him ninth overall in the 2019 draft.
Las Vegas 2019 NBA Summer League will once again include all 30 NBA teams, plus two internatinoal teams: the Chinese and Croatian National Teams. The whole thing tip off with 10 games on July 5, and continues through Monday, July 15.
As usual, the host is the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV), which has two basketball gyms, the Thomas & Mack Center and Cox Pavilion, which are right next to each other and connected by a common area with food venders and league merchandise. Once people enter the building, they don't have to go outside in the Las Vegas summer heat to switch gyms. The first day of action will include five games on NBA TV and a tripleheader on ESPN.
The event opens with all 32 teams playing four preliminary games each. The top eight teams are then seeded in a tournament, which culminates with a championship game on July 15 at 9 p.m. ET on ESPN2. Teams that do not qualify for the tournament will each play a consolation game. Every team will play at least five games and as many as seven at 2019 Las Vegas NBA Summer League.
Last year s event, won by the Portland Trail Blazers, set records for total attendance, combined viewership across ESPN and NBA TV, and traffic to the NBA s social and digital platforms, in addition to matching the single-day attendance record.
NBA TV, co-managed by the NBA and Turner Sports, will air a record 40 games, beginning with the MGM Resorts NBA Summer League opener when the Croatian National Team, making its event debut, squares off against the Detroit Pistons on July 5 at 3 p.m. ET. NBA TV s coverage of Day 1 will also feature a 5 p.m. ET game between the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Cleveland Cavaliers, who selected Darius Garland with the fifth pick in NBA Draft 2019
The Trail Blazers will begin defense of their MGM Resorts NBA Summer League title against the Pistons on July 6 at 3:30 p.m. ET on ESPNU. Later that day, the Atlanta Hawks, who selected Cam Reddish the 10th pick in NBA Draft 2019, will play the Milwaukee Bucks at 5 p.m. ET on NBA TV.

2018 VEGAS NBA SUMMER LEAGUE INFO
For the first time, the summer league editions of all 30 NBA teams will participate in NBA Summer League. The 14th NBA Summer League will take place July 6-17 at the Thomas & Mack Center and Cox Pavilion on the campus of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
With every team participating, NBA Summer League 2018 will expand to 12 days and 82 games as part of the usual tournament-style schedule. Teams will compete in three preliminary games, and then be seeded in a tournament leading to the NBA Summer League championship game on July 17.
Each Vegas NBA Summer League team will play at least five games, and as many as eight.
Las Vegas NBA Summer League began in 2004 with six NBA teams playing a total of 13 games. Last year s event featured 24 NBA teams playing 67 games.
And starting this summer, for the first time every Vegas Summer League game will air live on television, with ESPN networks and NBA TV combining to televise a record number of games.
2017 Las Vegas NBA Summer League set records for total attendance (127,843) and single-day attendance (17,500). In addition, ESPN and NBA TV combined to televise the most-viewed NBA Summer League ever, averaging 227,000 daily viewers (up 29 percent from 2016). A matchup between the Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Lakers was the most-watched NBA Summer League game in history, with 1.1 million viewers on ESPN. Across social media platforms, fans accounted for 436 million video views, an increase of 37 percent from the year before.
The Phoenix Suns and Sacramento Kings, who are selecting first and second, respectively, in this year s draft, will meet at MGM Resorts NBA Summer League 2018 on Saturday, July 7 at 7:30 p.m. ET on ESPN.
MGM Resorts NBA Summer League, which features all 30 NBA teams for the first time, will tip off with a record 10 games on Friday, July 6 and continue through Tuesday, July 17 at the Thomas & Mack Center and Cox Pavilion on the campus of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. For the second consecutive year, ESPN will present every game from Las Vegas via the ESPN App, along with a record 46 games on its linear television channels (ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPNU).
NBA TV, co-managed by the NBA and Turner Sports, will air 36 games, beginning with the Summer League opener on July 6 when the Indiana Pacers, making their event debut, square off against the Houston Rockets at 3 p.m. ET. NBA TV s coverage of Day 1 will also feature a 5 p.m. ET game between the Brooklyn Nets and the Orlando Magic, which selects sixth in the June 21 NBA Draft, as well as a 9 p.m. ET matchup between the Washington Wizards and the Cleveland Cavaliers, owners of the eighth draft pick.
The Lakers will begin defense of their Summer League title against the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday, July 7 at 11:30 p.m. ET on ESPN2. Earlier that day, the Atlanta Hawks, who have the third pick in NBA Draft 2018 presented by State Farm, will play the New York Knicks at 5:30 p.m. ET on ESPN.
Each team will play a minimum of five games at MGM Resorts NBA Summer League, starting with three preliminary contests from July 6-10. The teams will then be seeded in the tournament, which starts on July 11 and concludes with the Championship Game on July 17.

Former NBA veteran Anthony Morrow holds the NBA Summer League single-game scoring record, finishing with 47 points for the Golden State Warriors against the New Orleans Hornets (now Pelicans) on July 16, 2009.
Nine former No. 1 overall picks in the NBA Draft have played at NBA Summer League before their rookie seasons: Dwight Howard (No. 1 pick in 2004), Andrea Bargnani (2006), Greg Oden (2007), Blake Griffin (2009), John Wall (2010), Andrew Wiggins (2014), Karl-Anthony Towns (2015), Ben Simmons (2016) and Markelle Fultz (2017).
NBA Summer League MVPs include multiple-time NBA All-Stars Blake Griffin (2009 Summer League MVP), John Wall (2010) and Damian Lillard (co-MVP in 2012).
Kia NBA MVPs Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, James Harden and Russell Westbrook are NBA Summer League alums. Durant, Blake Griffin and Chris Paul are among the Kia NBA Rookies of the Year to play in Las Vegas.
An NBA G League Select Team, comprising top prospects from the NBA s official minor league, competed at NBA Summer League in seven straight events. The NBA G League s most recent appearance was 2016.
The Chinese national team competed at the 2007 NBA Summer League, the only international team ever to participate in the league. China s entry included Yi Jianlian, then an incoming NBA rookie, and Wang Zhizhi, an NBA player from 2001-05.

2017 LAS VEGAS NBA SUMMER LEAGUE
The Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Lakers, who own the first and second overall selections, respectively, in NBA Draft 2017 will square off at NBA Summer League 2017 on Saturday, July 8 at 8:30 p.m. ET on ESPN.
The matchup between the potential top two picks in the June 22 draft was announced today as the game and broadcast schedules for NBA Summer League 2017 were unveiled. The 11-day, 67-game competition tips off with a tripleheader on NBA TV on Friday, July 7 and continues through Monday, July 17 at the Thomas & Mack Center and Cox Pavilion in Las Vegas.
A record 24 NBA teams will participate in a tournament-style format that culminates with a Championship Game on July 17 at 10 p.m. ET, broadcast for the first time on ESPN. Last year s event, won by the returning champion Chicago Bulls, set records for total attendance, single-day attendance, combined viewership across ESPN and NBA TV, and traffic to the NBA s social media platforms.
ESPN will present all 67 games from Las Vegas across ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU and the ESPN App, including 35 on its linear television channels. NBA TV will air 28 games, starting with the league s opener on July 7, when the Toronto Raptors meet the New Orleans Pelicans at 6 p.m. ET. In total, 63 games from Las Vegas will air across ESPN and NBA TV s linear channels a Summer League record.
The field features the teams that hold the top five overall picks in NBA Draft 2017 presented by State Farm: the Celtics (No. 1), Lakers (No. 2), Philadelphia 76ers (No. 3), Phoenix Suns (No. 4) and Sacramento Kings (No. 5). In total, eight of the top 10 picks in this month s draft belong to teams that will play in Las Vegas.
The Lakers will be part of the opening-day schedule on Friday, July 7 at the Thomas & Mack Center as they face the L.A. Clippers, who are appearing in the NBA Summer League for the first time since 2014 (8:30 p.m. ET, ESPN). The second day of action is scheduled to include the top three selections of NBA Draft 2017 presented by State Farm, with ESPN s matchup between the Celtics and Lakers followed by ESPN2 s telecast of Philadelphia vs. the Golden State Warriors at 10:30 p.m. ET.
On Monday, July 10, NBA TV presents a doubleheader beginning with a 2017 NBA Finals rematch between the NBA Champion Warriors and finalist Cleveland Cavaliers at 8:30 p.m. ET, followed by a 10:30 p.m. ET game between the Lakers and Kings.
Teams will play three preliminary games between July 7-11 before being seeded in a tournament that starts on July 12 and concludes with the Championship Game on Monday, July 17. Each team will play a minimum of five games in Las Vegas.

2016 LAS VEGAS NBA SUMMER LEAGUE
Best players from 2016 Las Vegas NBA Summer League
Timberwolves guard Tyus Jones was named 2016 Vegas Summer League MVP. He and nine other players highlight made the Vegas All-NBA Summer League First and Second teams, as selected by a panel of media members.
The 11-day, 67-game event involved 23 NBA teams plus the NBA D-League Select team and wraps up Monday night with the Championship game between the second-seeded Chicago Bulls and the 24th seeded Minnesota Timberwolves. That game will air live on ESPN2 at 9 p.m. ET.
Jones led the Timberwolves to four straight wins in 2016 Vegas Summer League to advance to the Championship game -- this after losing the opening three games. In seven games in Las Vegas, Jones averaged 19.4 points on 45.7 percent shooting to go with 6.3 assists, 4.0 rebounds and 1.3 steals. On July 17, he scored 29 points on 9-for-17 shooting to go with six assists and three rebounds.
Joining Jones on the Las Vegas All-NBA Summer League 2016 First Team are Jordan McRae (Cleveland), Bobby Portis (Chicago), Ben Simmons (Philadelphia) and Alan Williams (Phoenix).
Jaylen Brown (Boston), Thon Maker (Milwaukee), Kelly Oubre Jr. (Washington), Normal Powell (Toronto) and Tyler Ulis (Phoenix) round out the Second Team.
The 2016 Vegas Summer League featured a tournament-style schedule for the fourth-consecutive year, with the Warriors having won the inaugural championship in 2013, the Sacramento Kings being crowned champions in 2014, and the San Antonio Spurs taking home the title in 2015. Each of the participating teams played three games apiece between July 8 and 12 before being seeded in the tournament, which tipped off on July 13.

2016 VEGAS SUMMER LEAGUE PREVIEW INFO
The Golden State Warriors, who set an NBA record with 73 regular-season wins in 2015-16, headline the list of 24 teams scheduled to compete in the 2016 Las Vegas NBA Summer League from July 8-18 at the usual location, the Thomas & Mack Center and Cox Pavilion on the University of Nevada Las Vegas campus.
The 2016 Las Vegas NBA Summer League will feature a tournament-style schedule and culminate in a championship game for the fourth consecutive year. Last year, coach Becky Hammon and the San Antonio Spurs were crowned champions of the 11-day, 67-game event.
This year s Las Vegas NBA summer basketball league will feature 11 playoff teams from the 2015-16 NBA season including three of the four Conference Finalists in the Cleveland Cavaliers, Golden State and Toronto Raptors. Additionally, the Philadelphia 76ers, owners of the top overall selection in the 2016 NBA Draft, will appear at Vegas Summer League alongside 11 other teams with Draft Lottery picks.
As always, InsideHoops.com will be there and provide coverage of the best action in Vegas. And we're talking about basketball, of course. NBA Summer League in Las Vegas has long served as the launch pad for future NBA stars. Two-time NBA MVP Stephen Curry of Golden State played in Las Vegas prior to his rookie season, as did the last two NBA Rookies of the Year: Karl-Anthony Towns (2015-16 winner) and Andrew Wiggins (2014-15) of the Minnesota Timberwolves.
The Memphis Grizzlies, who last competed in Las Vegas in 2013, join 22 returning NBA teams and an NBA Development League Select team this year. Teams will compete in three preliminary games beginning on July 8 before being seeded in a tournament that leads to the Championship Game on July 18.
Each team will play at least five games in Las Vegas.
In our (InsideHoops.com's) opinion, the best reason to keep up with Las Vegas summer league: the rookies.
The vast majority of players on summer league rosters are not actual NBA players. They are mostly NBA hopefuls. Many of them did play in the league, but fell out. Others perhaps attended NBA training camps, but were unable to secure a contract.
Each team's roster usually has a few young players who actually are on the team's regular season roster. They, along with the rookies, are who we usually pay close attention to.
Of course, if some other players who are trying to make the league stand out, and perhaps might land an invite to training camp thanks to awesome Las Vegas Summer League play, then that's a story worth sharing as well.

2015 LAS VEGAS SUMMER LEAGUE INFO
Summer league action in Las Vegas is back! There are 24 teams set to compete in NBA Summer League 2015 in Las Vegas from July 10-20 at the Thomas & Mack Center and Cox Pavilion on the campus of University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV). Of the teams involved, there are 23 NBA summer league teams, and one D-League "Select" squad.

Last year in Las Vegas, the Sacramento Kings won the NBA Summer League Championship to complete an 11-day, 67-game event that set all-time records for attendance, NBA TV viewership and overall merchandise sales. Last summer was the second time that NBA Summer League Vegas included a tournament-style schedule and culminated with a Championship Game, a format that will be used for the third consecutive year.
This year s Las Vegas summer league event will feature 14 playoff teams from the 2014-15 NBA season -- including all four Conference Finalists in Golden State, Atlanta, the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Houston Rockets -- and top picks from the 2015 NBA Draft, which will be held on Thursday, June 25. Nine teams entered in the 2015 NBA Draft Lottery, which takes place Tuesday, May 19, will appear at 2015 NBA Summer League.
NBA Summer League in Las Vegas has a rich history of showcasing the NBA s future stars. Stephen Curry of Golden State and Kevin Durant of the Oklahoma City Thunder, the last two winners of the NBA Most Valuable Player Award, competed in Las Vegas before their rookie seasons, as did 2014-15 NBA Rookie of the Year Andrew Wiggins of the Minnesota Timberwolves, whose first game at NBA Summer League 2014 (where he played for the Cavaliers) was the second-most-viewed NBA Summer League telecast of all time.
The Warriors won the inaugural NBA Summer League Championship in 2013 with a roster that included Draymond Green, a starting forward on this season s 67-15 team and the runner-up in the voting for both the Kia NBA Defensive Player of the Year Award and the Kia NBA Most Improved Player Award in 2014-15. Last summer marked the event s 10th anniversary and saw the Kings defeat the Rockets in the Championship Game. Two Sacramento players, guards Ben McLemore and Ray McCallum, finished the 2014-15 regular season in the Kings starting lineup. Forward Donatas Motiejunas, the Rockets second-leading scorer last summer, started 62 games for Houston this season.
The Brooklyn Nets, who last competed in Las Vegas in 2005, and the Boston Celtics, who most recently appeared in 2012, join 21 returning NBA teams and an NBA D-League Select team this year. The NBA Summer League Champion will be crowned on Monday, July 20. Teams will compete in three preliminary round games from July 10-14 before being seeded in a tournament running through the Championship Game. Each team is guaranteed to play at least five games.

2014 VEGAS SUMMER LEAGUE
It's back! The 2014 NBA Summer League will tip off on Friday, July 11, at the the usual location: COX Pavilion and Thomas & Mack Center on the campus of the University of Nevada Las Vegas, marking the 10th time the event will be held in the desert. For the second time in the event s history, a tournament-style format will be utilized to crown a champion.This summer s event will again feature a single elimination tournament schedule that will crown the 2014 NBA Summer League Champion on Monday, July 21. Teams will compete in three preliminary round games from July 11-15 before being seeded in a tournament running through the Championship Game on July 21. Each team is guaranteed to play at least five games.
NBA TV will televise 2014 NBA Summer League games from Las Vegas with a complete schedule of games and broadcast information to be released at a later date.
The Golden State Warriors won the inaugural NBA Summer League Championship in 2013, defeating the Phoenix Suns 91-77 in the title game. Golden State s Ian Clark was named the Most Valuable Player of the championship game following a 33-point outing. Clark, who was not drafted by an NBA team in 2013, went on to sign with the Utah Jazz, and spent the entire 2013-14 season on the team s roster. Jonas Valanciunas of the Toronto Raptors was named the Most Valuable Player of NBA Summer League 2013. The 6-11 center played in four games, averaging 18.8 points and 10.0 rebounds, and has gone on to anchor the Raptors frontcourt this season, helping the team make the playoffs for the first time since 2008. He was joined by Kent Bazemore (Golden State), John Henson (Milwaukee), Jeff Taylor (Charlotte) and Cody Zeller (Charlotte) as members of the All-NBA Summer League 2013 Team. The team, which consists of two frontcourt players and three backcourt players, was selected by journalists covering the event in Las Vegas.
Since its inception in 2004, when the event featured six NBA teams (Boston Celtics, Cleveland Cavaliers, Denver Nuggets, Orlando Magic, Phoenix Suns and Washington Wizards) playing a 13-game slate, the league has grown exponentially in all areas. Last summer, new all-time marks were set in multiple areas, including: attendance (62,000-plus over 11 days); games played (61) and number of live NBA TV broadcasts (38).

2013 NBA SUMMER LEAGUE INFO
The NBA Summer League 2013 in Las Vegas will feature 22 teams competing in a 61-game schedule from July 12-22 at the Thomas & Mack Center and COX Pavilion on the campus of the University of Nevada Las Vegas.
This summer s event will feature the debut of a tournament style schedule that will crown the first ever NBA Summer League Champion on Monday, July 22. Teams will compete in three preliminary round games from July 12-16 before being seeded in a tournament running through the Championship Game on July 22. Each team is guaranteed to play at least five games.
NBA TV will televise a full slate of NBA Summer League games and live game action will also extend across digital platforms. A complete broadcast schedule will be released at a later date.
NBA Summer League 2013 will open with the debut of New Orleans as the Pelicans when they face the New York Knicks on Friday, July 12 at 1 p.m. PT. The Cleveland Cavaliers, who have the top selection in this year s NBA Draft, will also tip off their Summer League competition on July 12 when they square off against the Los Angeles Lakers at COX Pavilion at 7 p.m. PT. The Cavaliers have been participants in every NBA Summer League in Las Vegas since the league s inception in 2004.

INTRO TO LAS VEGAS SUMMER LEAGUE
Vegas Summer League is back in the usual place. Twenty-two teams, including squads featuring eight of the top 10 selections in the 2013 NBA Draft, will vie for a "championship" that will be televised live on NBA TV at NBA Summer League 2013 in Las Vegas at the Thomas & Mack Center and COX Pavilion basketball arenas, on the campus of the University of Nevada Las Vegas.
From July 12-22, 21 NBA teams and a team of NBA D-League Select players will compete for the inaugural NBA Summer League title. This year s field includes 11 of this season s NBA Playoff teams, along with 10 non-playoff teams, including the Cleveland Cavaliers and Washington Wizards, participants in every NBA Summer League in Las Vegas since the league s inception in 2004. The Cavaliers and Wizards will select first and third, respectively, in the 2013 NBA Draft, which will be held in Brooklyn at Barclays Center on Thursday, June 27, 2013.
The average player on Vegas summer league teams is a rookie who was just recently drafted, a young player signed with an NBA team but in need of some extra experience, or a bench-level free agent in need of a job. For InsideHoops.com, it's our favorite chance to get a good look at rookies who were just drafted a few weeks earlier and haven't played in the NBA yet.
The Vegas summer basketball league format is different this year. In the past, teams simply played their Las Vegas summer league schedules, finished with a win-loss record, and that was that. But this year, some additional fun has been added:
The ninth NBA Summer League in Las Vegas tips off on Friday, July 12, and will conclude with a championship game on Monday, July 22. All participating teams will play a minimum of five games. After the conclusion of games on July 16, all teams will have completed three games and will be seeded for single-elimination tournament play that will lead to a champion being crowned on July 22.
It's an interesting twist to Las Vegas summer league play. Games should be more competitive and intense than in the past.

2012 VEGAS SUMMER LEAGUE
The 2012 NBA Summer League in Las Vegas will feature a record 24 teams competing in a 60-game schedule July 13-22 at the Thomas & Mack Center and the COX Pavilion on the campus of the University of Nevada Las Vegas.
There was no summer league in 2011 due to the NBA lockout. But it's back as usual, and a great place to check out how the league's rookies may look next NBA season.

The 2012 NBA Summer League will showcase 13 of the top 14 picks in this year s NBA Draft. The action tips off at 1 p.m. PT, Friday, July 13, with the Atlanta Hawks playing the Washington Wizards in the first of four scheduled games that day at COX Pavilion. Other teams participating in opening day action include the Charlotte Bobcats, Golden State Warriors, Houston Rockets, Los Angeles Lakers, Sacramento Kings and Toronto Raptors. Gatorade will support the 2012 NBA Summer League and serve as an Associate Partner.
NBA TV will televise all 60 games, including 39 live from both the Thomas & Mack Center and COX Pavilion. Games will also be available on digital platforms. Complete broadcast information will be released at a later date.

The New Orleans Hornets, who have the top selection in this year s draft, will tip off their Summer League competition on Sunday, July 15 at 7:30 p.m. PT, when they face the Portland Trail Blazers, owners of the sixth and 11th overall picks in the 2012 NBA Draft. An additional four teams with top-five selections in the 2012 NBA Draft, including the Bobcats, selecting second overall; the Wizards, who own the third overall selection; the Cleveland Cavaliers, who pick fourth; and the Sacramento Kings with the fifth pick.

In the opinion of InsideHoops.com, watching the rookies is the single best purpose for NBA summer league. After that, checking out other young players already signed to teams is also fun, especially those guys who haven't gotten real minutes in the league yet. Seeing the free agents play isn't quite as high up on our list, because the top free agents never play in Vegas summer league. It's usually the guys that need additional exposure, or else they're in danger of not being signed and playing overseas.

Friday July 13
Drew Packham of NBA.com reports: The first day of Summer League action in Las Vegas closed out a marathon day of hoops. We got our first look at several lottery picks, including Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, who had 18 points, eight rebounds and four steals to help the Bobcats blow out the Kings 121-87 in the nightcap. Kidd-Gilchrist and Kemba Walker was an animated backcourt for the Bobcats, bringing a lot of energy, laughing and clapping throughout the game. (This is what winning feels like, Kemba.)
Drew Packham of NBA.com reports: Rookie of the day: Donatas Motiejunas, Rockets. The Rockets 2011 draft night acquisition scored 25 points and grabbed nine rebounds in his first action with the team. Motiejunas was aggressive and showed off his shooting touch, knocking down a pair of 3-pointers. Non-rookie of the day: Klay Thompson, who came on in the second half of the season, scored 24 points to lead Golden State s 90-50 dismantling of the Lakers. The second-year guard out of Washington State was 6-for-8 on 3-pointers and showed why the Warriors were willing to deal Monta Ellis to the Bucks last season.
Atlanta 102, Washington 82: For Atlanta, Keith Benson shot 9-of-12 for 19 points and six assists. John Jenkins scored 19. Brad Wanamaker scored 13 (5-of-6), with six assists. For Washington, Bradley Beal shot 6-of-14 for 22 points. Chris Singleton had 20 points and 8 assists.
Houston 93, Toronto 81: For Houston, Donatas Motiejunas shot 11-of-13 for 25 points and 9 rebounds. Terrence Jones scored 17, with nine rebounds. Chandler Parsons scored 16, with five rebounds and four assists. And Jeremy Lamb scored 16. For Toronto, Terrence Ross had 21 points, but on 19 shots. Ed Davis had 18 points and eight rebounds.
Golden State 90, LA Lakers 50: For Golden State, Klay Thompson 9-of-13, including 6-of-8 three-pointers, for 24 points, six rebounds and five assists. Harrison Barnes shot 8-of-13 with 4-of-4 threes for 23 points. For the Lakers, everybody was awful.
Charlotte 121, Sacramento 87: For Charlotte, Byron Mullens shot 7-of-16 for 20 points and seven rebounds. Michael Kidd-Gilchrist shot 7-of-12 for 18 points, eight rebounds, five assists and four steals. Jeffrey Taylor scored 17. Kemba Walker shot 4-of-12 for 16 points and seven assists.
Saturday July 14
Drew Packham of NBA.com reports: Fans in Las Vegas apparently missed their Summer League action. Saturday s action at Cox Pavilion sold out midway through the day, with officials cutting off ticket sales for the day. This is the strongest start we ve ever had, said Gail Hunter, the NBA s Sr. Vice President of Events. Usually it builds, but we started really well. Hunter says the lack of a Summer League last year (due to the lockout) could be a reason for the increased excitement. There s nothing like the intimate feel, Hunter said. The fact fans can see players in the stands and get so close to the game is so unique. Fans shouldn t have a problem Sunday, with seven games throughout the day going simultaneously in both Thomas & Mack and Cox Pavilion. The arenas are connected and fans can alternate freely between the two venues.
Drew Packham of NBA.com reports: Non-rookie of the day: Golden State s Charles Jenkins was impressive, racking up 24 points on 9-for-12 shooting and had three steals in the Warriors 95-74 win over the Nuggets. I love Charles game, said teammate Klay Thompson, who had 17 points himself. He s one of the best mid-range shooters I ve seen, and that s no fabrication. He s automatic and he s developing into a great point guard. He s gonna be a great player in this league for a long time. Rookie of the Day: Kings guard Josh Akognon looked to have this wrapped up, but Jeremy Lamb closed out the night with a bang. Akognon came alive in the second half to score 25 points on 10-for-16 shooting (4-for-8 on 3s). Lamb, though, was just as hot, scoring 26 points on 8-for-15 shooting (3-for-8 on 3s). OK, we ll call it a draw.
Memphis 93, New York 77: For Memphis, Josh Selby shot 7-of-11 with 5-of-7 three-pointers for 20 points. Tony Wroten shot 5-of-9 with 7-of-8 free throws for 19 points, eight rebounds and six assists. For New York, Wesley Witherspoon came off the bench to shoot 5-of-11 for 15 points and five rebounds. Center Artsiom Parakhouski shot 6-of-8 for 13 points and eight rebounds. James White dished seven assists.
Golden State 95, Denver 74: For Golden State, Charles Jenkins shot 9-of-12 for 24 points. Klay Thompson shot 5-of-14 for 17 points, six rebounds and four assists, but six turnovers. Harrison Barnes shot just 5-of-17 for 13 points, seven rebounds and four steals.
Sacramento 84, LA Lakers 72: For Sacramento, Josh Akognon came off the bench to shoot 10-of-16 for 25 points. Jimmer Fredette shot just 3-of-11 but hit 8-of-9 free throws for 15 points and four assists. Thomas Robinson shot just 3-of-13 but hit 8-of-13 free throws for 14 points, 12 rebounds and four assists. For the Lakers, Darius Morris shot just 5-of-15 for 17 points. Center Robert Sacre had 11 points and 10 rebounds. Andrew Goudelock had 11 points but on 14 shots.
Washington 76, Houston 70: For Washington, Bradley Beal shot 4-of-10 for 14 points, five rebounds and four assists. Shelvin Mack and Tomas Satoransky each scored 11. For Houston, Jeremy Lamb shot 8-of-15 for 26 points. Terrence Jones scored 16.
Sunday July 15
Drew Packham of NBA.com reports: The first seven-game day of action saw a handful of second-year players prove their worth. Markieff Morris had 21 points and nine rebounds to help the Suns to a win over New York in their first game. San Antonio swingman Kawhi Leonard showed why he s a starter with the Spurs, scoring 23 points on 8-for-18 shooting (0-for-3 on 3s) in an 82-76 win over Atlanta. Jordan Hamilton had 18 points and seven rebounds in Denver s 88-77 loss to the Mavs. And third-year forward Luke Babbitt closed out the day with a surprising 19-point, 10-rebound double-double for the Blazers... Non-rookie of the day: Morris, Hamilton and Leonard had nice showings, but the nod goes to Dallas guard Dominique Jones. The combo guard entering his third season put up 32 points and grabbed eight rebounds in the Mavs 88-77 win. I have a good opportunity out here to be myself with nothing in the back of my head and just play my game, Jones said. Jones was aggressive getting into the lane (he got to the free-throw line nine times).
Phoenix 99, New York 77: For Phoenix, M.Morris had 21 points and 9 rebounds. Diante Garrett dished 10 assists. For NY, Chris Copeland shot 7-of-15 for 17 points. James White shot bricks but grabbed 7 rebounds.
Dallas 88, Denver 77: For Dallas, Dominique Jones shot 12-of-25 for 32 points and 8 rebounds. For Denver, Jordan Hamilton shot 6-of-15 for 18 points and 7 rebounds. Josh Carter got 15 points from just 6 shots.

Boston 87, Atlanta 69: NBA.com reports: The Boston Celtics cruised to an 87-69 victory in the first game of the fourth day of action at the 2012 NBA Summer League on the campus of the University of Nevada - Las Vegas. Boston's attack resulted in five Celtics scoring in double figures, including 14 points apiece from Kris Joseph and Jared Sullinger. Stephanie Lasme and Dionte Christmas each notched 11 while Jamar Smith tallied 10 points in the win... Atlanta was led by Keith Benson's 10-point, 10-rebound outing. Mike Scott and John Jenkins each chipped in with 12 points in the loss.
Dallas 85, Toronto 75: NBA.com reports: The Dallas Mavericks took the lead late in the first quarter and never looked back as they cruised to an 85-75 victory over the Toronto Raptors Monday afternoon in the summer desert classic in Las Vegas on the campus of UNLV. Three players scored in double-digits for the Mavericks including a team high 21 points for Dominique Jones while Jae Crowder added 13 and Bernard James added 13. The Raptors were led by Ed Davis who tallied a game high 23 points and Bobby Brown added 19 off the bench.
Houston 113, Sacramento 91: NBA.com reports: The Rockets had seven players hit double digits with Motiejunas and Lamb tying for the team lead with 19 apiece. Terrence Jones added 17, while Marcus Morris, Fortson and Forbes all had 11. Royce White contributed the only double-double of the game with 11 points and 10 rebounds. Jimmer Fredette, who finished with a game-high 30 points, chipped in 11 scores in both the second and fourth quarters. Fredette made 10-of-21 field goals and all eight of his free throw attempts. Tony Mitchell added 15 points for the Kings, while Michael Lee (12 points) and Thomas Robinson (10) joined him in double figures.
Cleveland 94, D-League Select 88: NBA.com reports: Tyler Zeller and Donald Sloan combined for 38 points to lead the Cleveland Cavaliers to a 94-88 victory over the NBA D-League Select Team in the third game of the day in Cox Pavilion on the campus of University of Nevada-Las Vegas. The Cavaliers offensive attack included six players in double-figures including 19 apiece for Zeller and Sloan while Luke Harangody chipped in 12 off the bench. The NBA D-League Select Team was led by Jerry Smith who contributed a game high 21 points off the bench.
Miami 106, LA Lakers 56: NBA.com reports: It was a strong showing for the World Champions' supporting cast as all five Miami starters scored in double-figures. The Heat's well balanced scoring attack was led by Dexter Pittman, who is entering his third season with Miami and led all scorers with 14 points. Miami also received large contributions from Norris Cole, Damian Saunders and Terrel Harris. Cole who appeared in 65 games for the Heat last season and was a spark-plug off the bench in the NBA Playoffs, assisted the charge early having success penetrating the Lakers' defense and finding his way to the free throw line. Cole finished with 13 points, nine assists and was a perfect 7-for-7 from the charity stripe... The Lakers' Summer League struggles continued despite the efforts of Darius Morris who finished with 13 points and Chinemele Elonu who grabbed 10 rebounds.
Minnesota 73, LA Clippers 64: NBA.com reports: Wes Johnson's 16 points helped the Minnesota Timberwolves to a 73-64 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers in the night ap at 2012 NBA Summer League on the campus of the University of Nevada-Las Vegas. Johnson was complimented by a 15-point outing from Derrick Williams, who also finished with nine boards in the win... Four Clippers scored in double figures with Terrico White's 16 points leading the way. Adam Morrison, Eric Bledsoe and Hilton Armstrong each contributed with 11 in the losing effort.
Milwaukee 76, New Orleans 68: NBA.com reports: Milwaukee was led by a double-double from Jarrid Famous, who contributed 13 points and 11 rebounds in the victory. Famous was instrumental in helping his squad maintain its lead down the stretch, as he put back a missed free throw to increase the Bucks' lead to three with 31 seconds left in regulation. Doron Lamb led Milwaukee in scoring with 20 points, while Tobias Harris followed closely behind with 19. Cameron Wells rounded out the quarter of Bucks in double digits with 11 points and six boards... New Orleans' Lance Thomas led all scorers with 22 points. Darius Miller and Brian Roberts contributed 11 apiece.
Tuesday July 17
Drew Packham of NBA.com reports: Nolan Smith s scary injury put a damper on a busy and exciting Day 5 on Tuesday. Portland s second-year point guard had 27 points before being carried off on a stretcher with 42 seconds left in the Blazers 99-88 loss to the Rockets. Smith was fouled hard on a breakaway and remained down on the floor for several minutes before being taken off the court. Terrence Jones, whom the Rockets took 18th from Kentucky, had 24 points and 12 rebounds while hitting 11 of 20 shots. Jones also matched up well with Portland s rookie big man Meyers Leonard, doing a good job keeping him in check.
Denver 85, New York 81: NBA.com reports: With 13.4 seconds left in the game, Kenneth Faired sealed the Denver Nuggets' 85-81 victory over the New York Knicks with a put-back layup in the opening game of play in the fifth day of play in the 2012 NBA Summer League in Las Vegas. Jordan Hamilton led all scorers with 21 points for the Nuggets while Faired added 16. Chris Copeland led the Knicks with 15 points and Wesley Witherspoon chipped in 12 off the bench. The game was close throughout and featured 10 lead changes and nine ties.
Washington 83, Memphis 77: NBA.com reports: Memphis' Josh Selby scored 35 points in an 83-77 losing effort in Tuesday's defeat to the Washington Wizards in the 2012 NBA Summer League held at UNLV's Cox Pavilion. Selby's Grizzlies dropped to 1-1 overall, while the Wizards evened their record at 2-2 after overcoming a five-point deficit in the second half for the win. Washington turned things around after the half with a 25-11 advantage in third-quarter scoring. Selby, who scored 45 percent of his team's points, shot 12-of-21 for the game with seven makes from behind the arc on eight attempts. He added four points from the free throw line to go along with seven steals, two rebounds and an assist... The Wizards' Randolph and Chris Singleton had double-doubles in the game. Randolph ended the contest with 16 points and a game-high 15 rebounds, while Singleton had 13 and 10, respectively. Bradley Beal (14 points) and Shelvin Mack (10) joined Randolph and Singleton with double-digit scoring outings.
San Antonio 92, LA Lakers 81: NBA.com reports: Kawhi Leonard scored 27 points as the San Antonio Spurs downed the Los Angeles Lakers 92-81 in the fifth day of action at the 2012 NBA Summer League in Las Vegas. Leonard's effort was complimented by an 18-point outing from Cory Joseph and 13 points from James Anderson... The Lakers' attack was led by [Darius] Morris, who finished with 24 points in the contest despite not scoring in the fourth quarter. Robert Sacre added 14 points in the loss.
Houston 99, Portland 88: NBA.com reports: The Houston Rockets extended their win streak to three as they shut down the Portland Trail Blazers 99-88 on day five of the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas. NBA officials called the game with 42.8 seconds to play when Nolan Smith of the Blazers went down injured driving to the basket, he was carried out on a stretcher. Terrence Jones scored a team high 24 points for Houston while Jeremy Lamb added 23 points and Donatas Motiejunas added 20. The Blazers were led by Damian Lillard and Smith who each tallied 27 points.
Cleveland 89, Phoenix 74: NBA.com reports: The Cleveland Cavaliers (2-1) defeated the Phoenix Suns (1-1) by a score of 89-74 at the 2012 NBA Summer League in Las Vegas, in a game that included multiple spurts by both squads. Samardo Samuels scored a team-high 17 points to go along with five rebounds in what was a strong collective effort that was able to withstand a breakout game for Suns center Markieff Morris. Morris reached double figures in nine of his final 22 games in his rookie season and he wasted no time reaching double-figures here again in Las Vegas, scoring 11 of the Suns 23 first quarter points. Coming off a 21-point, nine-rebound effort on Sunday, he finished with a double-double, recording game highs with 24 points, 17 rebounds, and six blocked shots. Dion Waiters helped the Cavaliers respond to the fast start by Morris and the Suns. The fourth overall pick in last month's NBA Draft, Waiters has strung together three double-figure scoring efforts of his own here in his first NBA Summer League. Waiters, a Syracuse product, finished with 16 points on 5-for-15 shooting from the floor.
Boston 79, Chicago 74: NBA.com reports: Boston actually owned three different 23-point leads in the contest with the last coming at the 61-38 juncture only 3:11 into the second half. Chicago then went on a tear of its own and doubled up its opponent 36-18 the remainder of the game. Chicago's late offensive production was spurned by a 12-point outburst from Jimmy Butler, whose 25 points tied for the game high. Butler was 7-for-16 from the field and 10-for-12 from the free throw line... Boston's E'Twaun Moore had a 25-point effort on 10-for-19 shooting. Moore also picked up seven boards in the win. Dionte Christmas and Jamar Smith also reached double-figures with 18 and 11 points, respectively. Chicago's Malcolm Thomas notched a double-double in victory with his combination of 13 rebounds and 10 points.
Charlotte 81, Minnesota 78: NBA.com reports: Minnesota cut the Wolves' lead to one, 76-77, with 39 seconds to play on a Wes Johnson jumper but were unable to close the gap, fouling Charlotte's Kemba Walker who nailed two free throws with 20.7 seconds to play. Johnson had a second chance for last-second heroics, missing a long-range jumper with 1.7 seconds to play. After a quick foul and two Othello Hunter makes from the line and a throw-away lay-up on the other end by Minnesota's Derrick Williams, the last game of the fifth day of 2012 NBA Summer League action was in the books... Mullens finished the contest with a game-high 33 points, just two shy of the 2012 NBA Summer League single-game scoring record of 35. Johnson scored 24 in the losing effort for Minnesota.

Drew Packham of NBA.com reports: Adam Morrison looked like the Adam Morrison of old Wednesday night. And as the player of few words put it, the shots just went in. Morrison scored 23 points to help the Clippers to an 86-80 win over the Spurs, going 9-for-13 from the field (2-for-3 from beyond the arc) and was aggressive in both taking the ball to the hole and hitting the step-back jumpers that drew raves since his days at Gonzaga. I got it going, and guys did a good job passing me the ball, said Morrison, who played 31 minutes for the second straight game in Las Vegas.

Henson looked nice in the low post, controlling the boards and showing off some nice interior moves. Other notables: Houston s Royce White had a double-double in his final game of Summer League, tallying 15 points and 10 rebounds. Other Rockets stood out in their win over Chicago: Terrence Jones had 17 points and nine rebounds, Jeremy Lamb scored 16, while undrafted point guard Scott Machado had 20 points and six assists. Raptors rookie Terrence Ross scored 21 in Toronto s win, while Atlanta s John Jenkins scored 21 in his finale for the Hawks in their 67-61 win over Dallas.
Washington 78, Milwaukee 75: NBA.com reports: The Wizards offensive effort included four players in double-figures, Bradley Beal with 18, Shavlik Randolph and Shelvin Mack each with 11 and Chris Singleton with 10. The Bucks were led by Tobias Harris with a game high 24 points and a game high 12 rebounds while John Henson chipped in 20 points and Doron Lamb added 12. The Bucks jumped out to an 8-2 lead early in the first quarter, led by as many as 11 and held a six point advantage, 24-18, at the end of the period. Henson had a strong start for the Bucks scoring 10 of the team's points Lamb contributed six. The Wizards were led by Beal with nine points.
Houston 96, Chicago 88: NBA.com reports: The Houston Rockets defeated the Chicago Bulls 96-88 in the second game of the day at the Cox Pavilion during the 2012 NBA Summer League on the campus of the University of Nevada - Las Vegas. Chciago's Jimmy Butler led all scorers with 24 points while Edwin Ubiles, the NBA Development League's Rookie of the Year, chipped in with 13 points on six-of-nine shooting in the win... Machado led the way for Houston with 20 points, good for second-best in the game. He headlined a group of five Rockets to score in double digits as Jones finished with 17 and Lamb had 16 points.
Toronto 96, Sacramento 89: NBA.com reports: The Raptors were led by a game-high 21 points from Terrence Ross, who shot 7-for-17 from the field with two made 3-pointers and five free throws. Bobby Brown chipped in 17 points, while Ed Davis and Devoe Joseph had 10 points apiece... Josh Akognon was the main catalyst for the Kings' rally late in the game with seven of the team's 12 points in the late run. Akognon finished the game with 18 points, 12 of which came from the charity stripe... Jimmer Fredette led the Kings in scoring with 19 points. Tony Mitchell and Yancy Gates joined Fredette and Akognon in double digits with 12 and 11 scores, respectively.
Atlanta 67, Dallas 61: NBA.com reports: John Jenkins and the Atlanta Hawks handed the Dallas Mavericks their first summer league loss 67-61 Wednesday night at the summer desert classic in Las Vegas. The Mavericks struggled from the field the entire game shooting just 37 percent on the night (26-for-70) while the Hawks shot just 21-for-52 for 40 percent. Jenkins led all scorers with 21 points while Mike Scott was the only other Hawk to score in double-figures with 11. Jae Crowder led the Mavericks with 20 points while Dominque Jones added 12 and Bernard James added 11.
New Orleans 78, Phoenix 61: NBA.com reports: Suns forward Markieff Morris, coming off a 24-point, 17-rebound performance Tuesday against the Cavs and, was held in check with 13 points and six boards. New Orleans won the battle of the boards, outrebounding Phoenix 40-29. The Suns were only able to score four second-chance points... Brian Roberts, a 6-foot-1 guard who played the last three seasons with Brose Baskets Bamberg in Germany led the Hornets in the first half with 13 points and helped them open up a 42-36 halftime lead. He was the leading scorer in the game finishing with 16 points on 4-for-8 shooting from the floor.
LA Clippers 86, San Antonio 80: NBA.com reports: The Los Angeles Clippers defeated the San Antonio Spurs 86-80 in the nightcap at the Cox Pavilion at the 2012 NBA Summer League on the campus of the University of Nevada-Las Vegas. Adam Morrison led all scorers with 23 points, 14 of which came in the third quarter. Morrison's effort was complimented by 18 from Eric Bledsoe... Joseph's team-high 22 points led the way for San Antonio and was complimented by 11 apiece from Eric Dawson and Luke Zeller.
Golden State 65, Miami 62: NBA.com reports: The Golden State Warriors improved to 3-0 in the 2012 NBA Summer League with a nail-biting 65-62 win over the Miami Heat (2-1) on Wednesday night at UNLV's Thomas & Mack Center. Harrison Barnes put the Warriors ahead for good, 61-59, with a 20-foot jumper with 22 seconds remaining in the game. Miami, who pulled within one in the waning moments, could not find the equalizer down the stretch. Miami's Terrel Harris had a chance to hit a game-tying 3-pointer at the buzzer, but the attempt fell short... Charles Jenkins went 11-for-11 at the free-throw line and led all scorers with 17 points on 3-for-8 shooting.
Thursday July 19
Drew Packham of NBA.com reports: A rookie stole the show Thursday, taking over the scoring lead and proving his doubters wrong. Point guard Damian Lillard, who many thought was a stretch for Portland with the No. 6 pick, scored 31 points (see more below) in the most captivating performance (and 84-78 win over Atlanta), and Kemba Walker finished off the night by leading the Bobcats to a 99-86 win over the Nuggets. Walker scored 19 points with 10 assists and had his smile and swagger going in helping his ball-hawking Bobcats improve to 4-0 with the victory. Denver s second-year swingman Jordan Hamilton continued his impressive play, putting up 21 points and nine rebounds in the setback.
Toronto 94, New York 92: NBA.com reports: Trailing by 13, the Knicks offense turned it on in the final 4:01 with eight points coming from Chris Copeland, who had a game-high 17 on 5-of-12 shooting. Copeland was successful on all three of his 3-point attempts and 4-of-6 free throws in the game... Besides Copeland's effort, the Knicks had three other players notch double-figures, as Mustapha Farrakhan has 12 and Chris Smith and Sylven Landesberg had 10 points apiece. Uzoh topped all scorers for Toronto with his 16 points off 5-of-8 shooting and a 6-of-6 performance from the line. Davis and Chris Wright had 15 points each, while Brown added in 13.
Portland 84, Atlanta 78: NBA.com reports: Damian Lillard and the Portland Trail Blazers defeated the Atlanta Hawks 84-78 in a tight 2012 NBA Summer League play at the Cox Pavilion on the campus of the University of Nevada - Las Vegas. Lillard led the way with 31 points on 11-of-22 from the floor. His effort was complimented by a 14-point outing from Will Barton. Meyers Leonard finished with a game-high 13 rebounds to go with nine points in the win... Mike Scott led all Atlanta scorers with 14 points, while Jordan Taylor scored 13 points in the loss.
Sacramento 91, Boston 82: NBA.com reports: Jimmer Fredette tied for the game-high in points with 19 off 4-of-7 shooting. Fredette, who gave his squad a nine-point lead with eight straight scores at the end of the first quarter, was 9-of-10 from the free throw line and 2-of-3 from behind the arc. Thomas Robinson picked up a double-double for Sacramento, as he combined 15 points with 16 rebounds, 12 of which were of the defensive variety. Darnell Jackson (13 points), Yancy Gates (11) and Dominique Johnson (10) rounded out the quintet of Kings' scorers in double digits. Boston's Dionte Christmas scored 12 of his team-high 19 points in the second half. Christmas was joined by 14-point efforts from both Jamar Smith and Craig Brackins and a 12-point night from Jonathan Gibson.
Minnesota 78, Cleveland 65: NBA.com reports: Coby Karl and Derrick Williams combined for 41 points as the Minnesota Timberwolves beat the Cleveland Cavaliers 78-65 on Thursday evening in Cox Pavilion on the campus of University of Nevada-Las Vegas. Williams led all scorers with 23 while Karl chipped in18 off the bench. Cleveland was led by Tristan Thompson with 16 while Samardo Samuels added 14 off the bench.
LA Lakers 75, LA Clippers 69: NBA.com reports: Julian Khazzouh, a 6-10 prospect from Australia, helped the Lakers get off to a fast start, scoring ten first quarter points, including two 3-pointers to give the Lakers a 28-12 advantage. Khazzouh had a brief stint with the Golden State Warriors this past December but was waived before the start of the 2011-12 season. He finished with 16 points and was 4-for-5 from three point land... In two games [Adam Morrison] has scored 34 points and pulled down 10 rebounds. He finished the contest with 22 points on 8-for-13 shooting from the floor and also connected on 3-of-4 attempts from behind the arc.
Milwaukee 77, D-League Select 68: NBA.com reports: Tobias Harris led the Bucks with a game high 21 points and 12 rebounds. In addition to Harris' effort, the Bucks saw offensive output from John Henson with 15 points and Tarence Kinsey with 14. The NBA D-League Select Team was led by Kenny Hayes with 15 points while Chris Daniels and Jerry Smith each added 10.
Charlotte 99, Denver 86: NBA.com reports: The Charlotte Bobcats improved to 4-0 with their 99-86 victory over the Denver Nuggets (1-3) on Thursday night in 2012 NBA Summer League action from UNLV's Thomas & Mack Center. Charlotte was led by six players in double figures, which included a double-double from Kemba Walker. Walker finished the game with team highs in both points (19) and assists (10) and also chipped in four rebounds... Charlotte got double-digit outings from Jeffery Taylor (16 points), Carlon Brown (15), Othello Hunter (14), Bismack Biyombo (12) and Cory Higgins (12). Jordan Hamilton threw down a game-high 21 points in a losing effort for Denver behind a 9-for-16 shooting effort from the field. Hamilton fell one rebound shy of combining for a double-double of his own. Denver's Evan Fournier (18 points), Gani Lawal (15) and Josh Carter (10) also chipped in double-figure efforts.

Drew Packham of NBA.com reports: On the court, the Nuggets Jordan Hamilton capped off a stellar Summer League with an 18-point, eight-assist performance. The second-year guard out of Texas finished by averaging 19.2 points, 6.4 rebounds in Denver s five games as he looks to have more of an impact entering his second season... Non-rookie of the day: Josh Selby, Grizzlies. Memphis second-year guard took back the scoring lead with a 32-point outing in the Grizzlies 97-79 win over the Bobcats. Selby, who could see a more involved role this year with the departure of O.J. Mayo, hit seven 3-pointers and finished 9-for-14 overall.

The French swingman had 17 points to finish with a 14.8-point scoring average. Fournier showed an ability to knockdown the trey, going 11-for-30 (36.7 percent) in his five games.
Cleveland 98, New York 64: NBA.com reports: The Cleveland Cavaliers led almost end-to-end to secure a decisive 98-64 win in the first game of the eighth day of competition at the 2012 NBA Summer League on the campus of the University of Nevada - Las Vegas. Tristan Thompson led the way for the Cavaliers with 13 points, while Tyler Zeller, Justin Holiday and Luke Harangody all chipped in with 12 in the win... The Knicks, who held a 2-0 lead in the game's opening minutes before the Cavaliers turned up the heat, were led by Mustapha Farrakhan's 13-point outing. Jerome Jordan chipped in with eleven while Chris Copeland scored 12 on five-of-nine shooting in the loss.
Portland 95, Denver 82: NBA.com reports: The Portland Trail Blazers cruised to an easy 95-82 victory over the Denver Nuggets on Friday afternoon in Cox Pavilion on the campus of University of Nevada-Las Vegas. Denver completed their five-game summer league schedule with a record of 1-4. Damian Lillard, the sixth overall pick in this year's draft, led all scorers with 23 points and seven assists for the Blazers while Will Barton added 21 points. Denver was led by Jordan Hamilton with 18 points while Evan Fournier and Demonte Harper each added 17.
Memphis 97, Charlotte 79: NBA.com reports: The Memphis Grizzlies improved to 2-1 at the 2012 NBA Summer League with a 97-79 victory over the Charlotte Bobcats (4-1) on Friday afternoon from UNLV's Thomas & Mack Center. The Grizzlies were led by a 32-point outing from Josh Selby. Selby was perfect from the free throw line with a 7-for-7 performance, while connecting on 7-of-11 shots from behind the arc. In all, he shot 64 percent from the field with a 9-for-14 effort... Memphis had three others besides Selby score in double-figures in the game. Deon Thompson led the trio with 15 points, while Xavi Rey and Jerome Randle had 14 and 12, respectively. Charlotte was led by a 16-point outing from Kemba Walker. Cory Higgins followed closely behind with 15, as Carlon Brown and Bismack Biyombo had 10 apiece.
Miami 83, San Antonio 78: NBA.com reports: The Heat regained the lead, which they hadn't owned since early in the game, late in the fourth quarter en route to a 83-78 victory over the San Antonio Spurs at the 2012 NBA Summer League on the campus of the University of Las Vegas - Nevada. Terrel Harris scored a game-high 25 points to go with five rebounds for Miami in the win, while Alexis Ajinca's 12 points topped all scorers for San Antonio.
Golden State 66, Chicago 57: NBA.com reports: The Golden State Warriors (4-0) put together a complete game on both ends of the ball and defeated the Chicago Bulls (0-3) by a score of 66-57. Harrison Barnes had another strong outing finishing with a game-high 20 points and shot 7-of-16 from the field. Kent Bazemore added 11 points, eight rebounds and a game-high seven blocks to lock down the victory for Golden State... For Chicago, Malcolm Thomas, who appeared in three games with the San Antonio Spurs last season recorded a double-double pulling down 16 rebounds to go along with his 12 points. Marquis Teague, the 29th overall selection in this year's NBA Draft had 12 points and Jimmy Butler finished with 11 points.
D-League Select 89, Phoenix 75: NBA.com reports: The NBA D-League jumped out to an early nine-point lead and never looked back as they scorched the Phoenix Suns 89-75 in the final game in Cox Pavilion on Friday night on the campus of University of Nevada-Las Vegas. Chris Daniels tallied a game-high 20 points off the bench for the NBA D-League Select Team while Andre Emmett added 18 and Leo Lyons add 15. The Phoenix Suns were led by Markieff Morris with 16. Matt Gatens added 13 off the bench.
Dallas 78, New Orleans 65: NBA.com reports: The Dallas Mavericks (3-1) knocked off the New Orleans Hornets (1-3) 78-65 Friday night at the 2012 NBA Summer League held at UNLV's Thomas & Mack Center. Dallas used a 13-0 run in the second quarter to take hold of the contest en route to its 13-point victory, which was sparked by Jae Crowder's 18-point effort. Crowder, who was originally drafted by Cleveland with the 34th pick in the 2012 NBA Draft and then subsequently traded to Dallas, keyed the scoring outburst in a span of 7:39 in the second quarter with eight points. He got the offensive going with back-to-back 3-pointers before stretching the lead to nine later with an alley-oop dunk... Besides Crowder's offensive effort, the Mavericks got double-digit outings from Dominique Jones (16 points), Justin Dentmon (12) and Drew Gordon (10), who added a game-high 11 rebounds for a double-double. Xavier Henry and Brian Roberts led New Orleans with 12 and 11 points, respectively.

Drew Packham of NBA.com reports: The last full day of seven games featured several returning players putting up big numbers. Phoenix s Markieff Morris wrapped up his solid showing, putting up 25 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Suns to a 96-87 win over the Grizzlies. Morris was 10-for-17 from the floor, hit a pair of 3s and looked like the best player on the floor, impressive considering Josh Selby did his thing again for the Grizzlies, scoring 23 points to maintain his scoring lead (27.5 ppg) over Damian Lillard (26.5 ppg).

Portland 81, Miami 55: NBA.com reports: The Portland Trail Blazers blew away the Miami Heat by a score of 81-55 to open up the ninth day of the NBA Summer League, at Cox Pavilion on the campus of UNLV. Will Barton played all 40 minutes and finished with a game-high 27 points on 10-of-17 shooting from the field... Miami struggled to get anything going most of the game. The 55 points for the Heat was their lowest point total on the trip. Dexter Pittman came off the bench and compiled a team-high 13 points and five rebounds in just 20 minutes of action.
Dallas 82, San Antonio 76: For the Mavs, Jae Crowder shot 5-of-13 but added 8-of-10 free throws for 21 points and six rebounds. Justin Dentmon scored 16 points with seven rebounds. For San Antonio, Cory Joseph 7-of-13 for 18 points, seven rebounds and five assists. James Anderson shot just 3-of-11 for 13 points and six rebounds.
Golden State 80, New Orleans 72: NBA.com reports: The Golden State Warriors capped off their perfect 5-0 record at the 2012 NBA Summer League with an 80-72 win over the New Orleans Hornets (1-4) Saturday afternoon from UNLV's Thomas & Mack Center. The Warriors, who led from coast-to-coast and by as much as 15 points, had to hold off a late rally by the Hornets in the fourth quarter... New Orleans' second-half rally was sparked by 32 points from three of its starters: Xavier Henry, Brian Roberts and Lance Thomas. Henry contributed 14 of his game-high 21, while Roberts had 10 to Thomas' eight. Henry shot 7-for-13 for the game with one 3-pointer and an 8-of-11 day at the free throw line... Golden State's offense was led by a 15-point effort from Charles Jenkins, who went 5-for-9 from the field and was perfect from the line with five makes.

Chicago 77, LA Clippers 74: NBA.com reports: The Chicago Bulls (1-3) bested the Los Angeles Clippers (1-3) 77-74 in an contest that featured exciting dunks and athletic blocks that captured the crowd throughout at Thomas & Mack on the campus of UNLV. Jimmy Butler was the leading scorer for the Bulls with 23 points and Malcolm Thomas registered a double-double with 21 points and 16 rebounds.
Phoenix 96, Memphis 87: NBA.com reports: Markieff Morris' 25-point game led the way for the Suns, who finished with seven players scoring in double figures. Marcus Landry scored 15, DeShawn Sims had 13 off the bench, and Charles Garcia and P.J. Tucker had 15 and 10, respectively. Josh Selby, the leading scorer coming into Saturday's NBA Summer League games, finished with a team-high 23 points for Memphis. His efforts were complimented by 19 Tony Wroten points and 14 from Deon Thompson off the bench.
Milwaukee 88, Boston 87: NBA.com reports: Tobias Harris sank two free throws with 5.9 seconds remaining on the clock to give his Milwaukee Bucks (3-1) an 88-87 win over the Boston Celtics (3-2) on Saturday night in 2012 NBA Summer League action from UNLV's Thomas & Mack Center. Milwaukee, which led by as much as nine points in the third quarter, had to watch as a game-winning fadeaway jumper from Boston's Jared Sullinger clanked off the back of the rim as time expired... The Bucks' Harris and John Henson tied for the game high in points with 22 apiece. They each connected on nine field goals. Larry Sanders chipped in a double-double with 11 points and 15 rebounds. Boston's Dionte Christmas had a team-high 17 points, which was closely followed by 16-point efforts from Smith and Sullinger, who added 11 rebounds for a double-double. Craig Brackins joined the double-digit scorers with 15 points of his own.

Milwaukee 113, Chicago 68: NBA.com reports: The Milwaukee Bucks (4-1) blew out the Chicago Bulls (1-4) by a score of 113-68 in the opening game of the final day of the 2012 NBA Summer League in Cox Pavilion on the campus of University of Nevada-Las Vegas. The Bucks had five players in double-figures and were led by Tobias Harris who collected 18 points on 7-for-13 shooting. As a team, Milwaukee shot 65 percent from the floor, connecting on 49-of-75 shot attempts... Aaron Miles, who made his NBA debut in 2005 for the Golden State Warriors put together an impressive performance, handing off 12 assists in just 17 minutes of action. Jermaine Taylor was a bright spot for Chicago in the loss. Taylor was selected in the 2009 NBA Draft, 32nd overall by the Washington Wizards and has bounced around between China and the NBA Development league since. It was a breakout game for Taylor who registered a game-high 21 points.
LA Clippers 92, Boston 77: NBA.com reports: Los Angeles' Adam Morrison put his squad up for good only 22 seconds into the contest with a made free throw. Morrison and his offensive cohorts then went to work quickly, as they put on a long-range shooting display. They knocked down six of their first seven 3-point attempts, which helped put a nine-point difference (25-16) between themselves and the Celtics. Morrison finished with a game-high 26 points, while the crowd chanted "MVP" on every time he touched the ball in the second half. He sank 9-of-15 field goal attempts and was 4-of-6 from 3-point range... Jonathan Gibson led a quartet of Celtics in double-digit outings with his 14 points. Jared Sullinger followed closely behind with 13. Craig Brackins (11 points) and Larry Owens (10) rounded out the foursome.
Minnesota 97, Memphis 91: NBA.com reports: Minnesota's Zabian Dowdell made a crucial three-pointer and late lay-up in a seven-point fourth quarter to help the Timberwolves stretch their lead to 10 points before fending off a furious Memphis rally in the final minute. Before Dowdell helped finish the job, fellow alum and 2009-10 NBA D-League Most Valuable Player Mike Harris opened the game with 10 points in the first quarter to help the Timberwolves mount an early 11-point lead... Despite Harris' quick start and Dowdell's eventual strong finish, the power of distinguished NBA D-League alumni was not limited to Minnesota. Memphis opened the third quarter ablaze from the outside courtesy of a delicious trio of treys by former NBA D-Leaguer Matt Janning, the last of which completed a 14-6 run to give the Grizzlies a one-point lead. Janning finished with 16 points on 6-for-8 shooting from the field. Harris answered with a bounce pass to a cutting Wes Johnson for a dunk before finishing a cut of his own with a slam. Harris' 22 points led all scorers. The two sides traded buckets at the rim through the rest of the quarter, and a single point separated the teams entering the final period.

Nuggets 88, Mavericks 70 - NBA.com reports: Coby Karl, son of Denver Nuggets had coach George Karl, led the Denver Nuggets with 16 points, seven rebounds and five assists as the Nuggets defeated the Dallas Mavericks 88-70 in the first of 58 games at the 2010 NBA Summer League on the campus of the University of Las Vegas-Nevada on Friday afternoon... Karl's efforts for the Nuggets was complimented by Richard Roby's 16 points, Edwards' 15 points and an 11-point outing from Ty Lawson. For the Mavericks, Jones led all scorers with 19 points, while Beaubois, Mouhammad Faye and DeShawn Sims each finished with 12 points. For the game, The Nuggets outshot Dallas 48 percent to 37 percent, while Dallas won the battle of the boards, finishing with 39 team rebounds to Denver's 33.
Rockets 100, Suns 82 - NBA.com reports: Jermaine Taylor led the Rockets offensively with game-highs in points (25) and rebounds (seven). Taylor was one of five Houston players in double-digits with Patrick Patterson (18), Jordan Hill (16), Chase Budinger (10) and Dwight Lewis (10) rounding out the quintet... DeMar DeRozan and Ed Davis followed closely behind with 16 and 15 points, respectively. Bobby Brown and Ronald Dupree each had 11, while Michael Roll added 10 points, while only playing in the fourth frame... Phoenix was paced by 18 points from Gani Lawal, who hit 14 points in last night's loss to the Houston Rockets. Earl Clark, who had 14 on Friday, one-upped himself with 15 today. Shaun Pruitt rounded out the trio of double-digit scorers for the Suns with 10 points.
Nuggets 92, Lakers 74 - NBA.com reports: Denver built their lead to as many as 21 in the fourth quarter behind Ty Lawson's team-high 18 points while Othello Hunter chipped in 14 points off the bench. The Lakers effort was led by Devin Ebanks 'game- high 24 points and Derrick Caracter's 17 points... Both teams lost players to injuries during the contest, Lakers forward Rob Kurz left the game in the second quarter and received stitches in his head, and did not return to the game. Nuggets Center Brian Butch left the arena on a stretcher during the third quarter with a knee injury and was taken to a local hospital for further evaluation.

Nuggets 100, Knicks 90 - NBA.com reports: Ty Lawson was a main reason for Denver's success Sunday, as he contributed 28 points off of 10-of-16 shooting and 7-for-9 at the line... Coby Karl joined Lawson in the 20-point club with 22 tallies of his own. He was perfect from the line going 7-for-7 and made three field goals, three of which were from three... Othello Hunter and Shane Edwards rounded out the quartet of Nugget double-digit scorers with 19 and 15 points each, respectively. The Knicks got a 27-point outburst from Toney Douglas, who went 8-for-20 from the field and 6-for-6 from the free throw line. Bill Walker's 14, Landry Fields' 13 and Andy Rautins' 11 were not enough either to help in a losing effort.
Blazers 84, Rockets 67 - NBA.com reports: It was in the second quarter that Portland turned up the gas, outscoring Houston 26-17 in the period and extending their lead to 14 points, 45-33, going into half time on the back of Patrick Mills' eight-point quarter and teammate Jeff Pendergraph's nine points. Houston's Chase Buddinger kept the Rockets within striking distance, leading all first-half scorers with 11 points, either of which came in the second quarter... Buddinger led all scorers with 21 points.
Wizards 84, Warriors 79 - NBA.com reports: The Washington Wizards (1-0) defeated the Golden State Warriors (1-2) 84-79, Sunday evening in the NBA Summer League from the Cox Pavilion behind the efforts of John Wall and JaVale McGhee. The duo combined for 45 points, while Golden State's Reggie Williams racked up 34 in a losing effort... McGhee, the recipient of Wall's helpers, followed closely behind with 21 points, while notching a double-double by adding in 13 rebounds.
Heat 77, Hornets 72 - NBA.com reports: Jon Scheyer connected on a 3-point shot with 39 seconds to seal the 77-72 Heat victory over the New Orleans Hornets in Sunday's final game in the Las Vegas Summer League... The Heat had three players in double-digits including a game high 24 points by Kenny Hasbrouck, 18 points for NBA veteran Shavlik Randolph and 11 points for Jon Scheyer. The Hornets also had three players in double-figures, Marcus Thornton leading the way with 14 points, Craig Brackins adding 12 and Aubrey Colman with 11... Miami's first-half attack was led by Kenny Hasbrouck and Shavlik Randolph who combined for 23 of the team's 40 points, Hasbrouck scoring 13 while Randolph added 10.

Knicks 71, Lakers 63 - NBA.com reports: Bill Walker and Landry Fields led the Knicks effort combining for a total of 31 points. For the game, the Knicks shot 45 percent from the field (27-60) while the Lakers shot just 33.3 percent (22-66)... The Lakers were led by Derrick Caracter, who earned his third straight double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds.
Kings 97, Pistons 68 - NBA.com reports: The Kings were led by a contingent of five double-figure scorers. Omri Casspi topped out with a game-high 16. Tyrese Rice followed closely behind with 15. DeMarcus Cousins, the fifth overall pick in the 2010 NBA Draft, notched a double-double with a combined 14 points and 10 rebounds. Ryan Thompson and Donte Green rounded out the quintet of high-scorers with 12 and 11 points, respectively... Detroit was paced by a trio of 10-point scorers, DaJuan Summers, Mac Koshwal and A.J. Slaughter. All 10 of Slaughter's points came in 7:33 of action during the fourth quarter.
Spurs 85, Timberwolves 62 - NBA.com reports: Five San Antonio Spurs scored in double figures as the team defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves 85-61 in the first game at the Thomas and Mack Center during the 2010 NBA Summer League in Las Vegas... The Spurs continued to dominate in the fourth quarter, with Dwayne Mitchell scoring eight of his 12 points in that period and Gary Neal scoring nine of his 11. Minnesota's Lazar Hayward led all scorers with 13 points.
Mavericks 73, Bucks 72 - NBA.com reports: The Dallas Mavericks earned a 72-71 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks Monday night when Rodrigue Beaubois hit a go-ahead jump shot with .7 seconds left in overtime. With .3 seconds on the clock in regulation, J.R. Giddens tipped in a basket to send the game into overtime and gave the Mavericks the breath of life they needed as they looked for their first win in the 2010 NBA Summer League in Las Vegas.
Suns 96, D-League Select 88 - NBA.com reports: Phoenix had four players score 15 or more points with Earl Clark pacing the team with 18. Scottie Reynolds added 16 points of his own, while Gani Lawal and Matt Janning both had 15. Lawal had a rare triple-double of sorts, as he added a game-high 11 rebounds with 10 fouls... The NBA D-League Select got 17 points from Russell Robinson (Maine Red Claws), as he scored nine of those from the free throw line. Curtis Withers (Dakota Wizards) followed closely behind with 16 tallies, as did Mike Gansey (Erie BayHawks) with 15. Cavaliers 88, D-League Select 82 - NBA.com reports: The Cavs had six players in double-figures led by J.J. Hickson with 18 points and Pooh Jeter with 17. The NBA D-League Select team had four players in double-figures led by Russell Robinson (Maine Red Claws) who tallied a game high 20 points and Mark Tyndale (Iowa Energy) who tallied 17 points off the bench. The game featured 17 lead changes and was tied 13 times with the NBA D-League Select owning the lead for much of the game. The NBA D-League Select owned a seven point early in the game, the Cavs largest lead of six came at the end of the game.
Raptors 100, Rockets 91 - NBA.com reports: DeMar DeRozan finished the game with a game-high 23 points and five rebounds. Bobby Brown joined DeRozan in the 20-point club with 20 scores of his own. Sonny Weems, who scored eight points at the start of the second quarter, pitched in 13. Joey Dorsey and Solomon Alabi had 13 and 10, respectively, to close out the double-digit scorers. Grizzlies 67, Bucks 64 - NBA.com reports: Sam Young sank a three-point shot at the buzzer to seal the 67-64 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks Tuesday... Three Memphis Grizzlies scored in double-figures on the night, Young leading the way with 15 points, Hasheem Thabeet with 12 and O.J. Mayo with 11. Sanders put up a game high 22 points for the Bucks.
Kings 90, Lakers 84 - NBA.com reports: DeMarcus Cousins, the third overall selection in the 2010 NBA Draft, led all scorers with 19 points, also pulling down a game-high 12 rebounds for the Kings... Six of the eight lakers in uniform scored in double figures, with D.J. Strawberry's 17 points leading the way. Sims chipped in with 13 points and 14 rebounds.

Intro to Vegas Summer League
Twenty-two NBA teams, including 11 that appeared in the 2010 NBA Playoffs, will compete in this year s NBA Summer League. For the second consecutive year, a team of NBA Development League Select players will also participate in the action taking place at the Thomas & Mack Center and the COX Pavilion on the campus of the University of Nevada Las Vegas.
A 58-game schedule of action will tip off on Friday, July 9, with four games scheduled at COX Pavilion. Teams slated for action on opening day include the Dallas Mavericks, Denver Nuggets, Detroit Pistons, Golden State Warriors, Houston Rockets, Los Angeles Lakers, New Orleans Hornets and Phoenix Suns.
While the NBA Summer League continues to grow, its core mission remains the same: allowing NBA teams to evaluate young talent and free agents, giving rookies the chance to get acclimated to the NBA and providing veterans a chance to fine-tune their games, said Stu Jackson, Executive Vice President of NBA Basketball Operations.
This year s event will feature the Washington Wizards, who won the top overall pick in the 2010 NBA Draft. Other participating teams with top five selections in this year s draft include the Minnesota Timberwolves (fourth overall pick) and the Sacramento Kings (fifth overall). Additionally, 10 of the top 14 picks are expected to participate in Las Vegas this summer.
NBA fans have the chance to get a sneak peek at the league s newest stars in an up close and family-friendly venue at NBA Summer League, said Gail Hunter, NBA Senior Vice President of Events and Attractions.
Joining the above-mentioned teams scheduled to appear in Vegas this summer are the Atlanta Hawks, Chicago Bulls, Cleveland Cavaliers, Los Angeles Clippers, Memphis Grizzlies, Miami Heat, Milwaukee Bucks, Minnesota Timberwolves, New York Knicks, Portland Trail Blazers, Sacramento Kings, San Antonio Spurs, Toronto Raptors and Washington Wizards.

2009 Las Vegas NBA Summer Basketball League
The Las Vegas Summer basketball league is now just known simply as "The NBA Summer League" because it's the only league entirely run by the NBA. The only other NBA-affiliated league is in Orlando. Utah's league, the Rocky Mountain Revue, will not be playing in 2009 but might come back in the future.
Twenty-one NBA teams, including the 2009 NBA Champion Los Angeles Lakers, will compete in this year s NBA Summer League in a 55-game schedule. A team of NBA Development League Select players will also participate in the action taking place at the Thomas & Mack Center and the COX Pavilion on the campus of the University of Nevada Las Vegas July 10-19.
The showdown in the desert will tip off on Friday, July 10, with four games scheduled at COX Pavilion. Teams slated for action on opening day include the Lakers, Dallas Mavericks, Detroit Pistons, Golden State Warriors, Houston Rockets, Milwaukee Bucks, Sacramento Kings and Toronto Raptors.

Detroit 91, Toronto 87: NBA.com reports: Day two of the NBA Summer League presented by EA SPORTS tipped off with the Detroit Pistons topping the Toronto Raptors 91-87 at the COX Pavilion on the campus of University of Nevada-Las Vegas. Austin Daye and DaJuan Summers led the Pistons with 19 points apiece and Quincy Douby tallied a game-high 21 points for the Raptors... In a closely contested first half, the Pistons took a 49-44 advantage at the half, led by Summers with 13 points.
LA Lakers 88, Cleveland 82: NBA.com reports: Los Angeles finished the game shooting .508 percent, as the team had four players reach double digits. Adam Morrison led the way with 22 points on 8-of-16 shooting from the field. David Monds and Alan Anderson chipped in 12 apiece, while Ben McCauley closed out the foursome with 10... The Cavaliers had double-digit outputs by four players. Danny Green led the team in a losing effort with 16 points. Christian Eyenga and Leo Lyons pitched in 14 apiece, while Darnell Jackson had 11.
Golden State 98, Sacramento 95 OT: NBA.com reports: Stephen Curry scored 27 points in the second half and led the Golden State Warriors to an overtime victory over the Sacramento Kings, 98-95, in the third game of the day at the 2009 NBA Summer League presented by EA Sports on the campus of UNLV in Las Vegas. The Warriors trailed by as many as 12 points in the contest, but the team was lifted by the impressive second half play of rookie guard Curry and teammates Cartier Martin, who scored 27 and Anthony Randolph who finished with 24 in the come-from-behind overtime win... Tyreke Evans led all Sacramento scorers with 25 points, while Jason Thompson chipped in with 17 points and Landry added 14 in the loss.
Houston 98, Dallas 95: NBA.com reports: Chase Budinger scored 25 points in the game, but was mostly instrumental in the third, as he helped the Rockets strike out to a 71-60 lead after 30 minutes of play. Budinger chipped in 10 points, while Houston staked itself to as much as a 17-point lead... Besides Budinger s output, Houston got double-figure outings by four other players. Jermaine Taylor pitched in 15, while Joey Dorsey had 13. Conroy followed closely behind with 12. Maarty Leunen closed out the quintet with 11 of his own. Rodrigue Beaubois led the Mavericks in a losing effort with his 34 points, which to-date are the most scored by a player this season. Beaubois notched 21 from behind the arc to aid his offensive effort.

San Antonio 92, New Orleans 86: NBA.com reports: In a tightly contested fourth quarter, Malik Hairston sealed the Spurs 92-86 victory with a three-pointer with 18 seconds left in the game. Trailing by two heading into the fourth quarter the Spurs led by as many as six in a quarter that featured seven lead changes and six ties... George Hill tallied a game high 25 points for the Spurs while Hairston tallied 16 points. The Hornets were led by Marcus Thornton with 22 points while Darren Collison chipped in 19.
Houston 79, Minnesota 65: NBA.com reports: The Houston Rockets (3-0) used a 15-4 run that spanned 6:28 between the first and second quarters to take hold of a 79-65 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves (0-1) Sunday afternoon... James White wound up being Houston s top scorer with 14 points on 5-of-9 shooting. Chase Budinger and Joey Dorsey chipped in 11 apiece in a winning effort. Dorsey notched a double-double by combining a game-high 16 rebounds with his offensive production. Minnesota was led by 14 from Corey Brewer in a losing effort. Jonny Flynn, the sixth overall pick in the 2009 NBA Draft, pitched in 11 points in his professional debut. Flynn was 2-for-3 behind the arc with both threes coming in the first quarter.
Memphis 86, Oklahoma City 57: NBA.com reports: Marcus Williams dished out the game s first assist 53 seconds into the game on a jumper made by Sam Young. Williams assist was the first of 17, which rank as the most ever in NBA Summer League action and was the first double figures tallied in that category thus far in 2009... Darrell Arthur and DeMarre Carroll followed Young s output with 11 points apiece, while Jeff Adrien rounded out the foursome with 10 of his own. Russell Westbrook and Kyle Weaver were the only Thunder players to score more than seven points for their squad, as they tallied 14 and 11, respectively.
Milwaukee 80, Cleveland 69: NBA.com reports: Brandon Jennings scored 23 points as the Milwaukee Bucks defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers 80-69 in the night-cap at the 2009 NBA Summer League... Milwaukee charged out of the break going on a 25-3 run in the first six minutes of the third period to lock in a commanding 62-44 lead over the Cavaliers. Jennings and Jodie Meeks each scored eight points during the quarter, while only three cavaliers (Terance Kinsey,Christian Eyenga and Leo Lyons) scored a total of nine points. Cleveland scored six of their nine in the final minute of the period to end the quarter down by 15, 56-50.
Monday July 13th
D-League Select 96, Minnesota 91: NBA.com reports: Gary Forbes and Othyus Jeffers scored 20 points a piece for the Select team en route to the team s first win against an NBA Summer League team... Forbes and Jeffers combined for 21 points in the half, while Jasper Johnson chipped in with 8 in the last two quarters and Coleman Collins added 13 of his own in the third and fourth.
Phoenix 95, Dallas 90: NBA.com reports: Robin Lopez paced the Suns offensive production with a double-double comprising of 24 points and 16 rebounds. Alando Tucker and Zabian Dowdell helped Phoenix to victory, as they each scored 15. Carlos Powell chipped in 13, as well. Dallas had four playe rs amass double digits in the losing effort. Rodrigue Beaubois tallied 16 to lead the team before leaving the game late in the fourth quarter due to injury. Shan Foster and Aaron Miles had 13 apiece, while Ahmad Nivins contributed 12.
Toronto 92, Portland 87: NBA.com reports: The game featured 22 lead changes and 12 ties with the last coming at 66-66 with 9:38 remaining in the fourth quarter. Toronto put some daylight between itself and Portland when Quincy Douby nailed a three pointer. Douby had a team-high 20 in the tilt... Besides Douby s output, Toronto got double-digit efforts from four other players. DeMar DeRozan contributed 15 points, while Patrick O Bryant and Roko Ukic had 12 apiece. Brent Petway closed out the foursome with 11. Portland was led by a 22-point outing by Jerryd Bayless. Dante Cunningham followed Bayless closely with 21 scores of his own. Jeff Pendergraph had 12 points, while Bobby Jones and Jeter had 11 and 10, respectively.
LA Clippers 93, LA Lakers 82: NBA.com reports: The Clippers never trailed in the contest as Blake Griffin, the first overall selection in last month's NBA Draft, began his professional career as a Clipper with a bang, scoring the team's first six points and going six-of-six from the field in the game's first two quarters. He finished the half with 16 points, while teammate Eric Gordon tallied 11... Adam Morrison, who scored a team-high 20 points, and the Lakers outscored the Clippers 30-22 in the final quarter, but the run wasn't enough as the battle for Southern California NBA supremacy ended in the Clippers favor... Memphis 90, New York 86: NBA.com reports: With his team up one at 78-77 in the fourth, Memphis Marcus Williams went to work scoring 10 of his 16 points for the game. Williams connected on four free throws and made three field goals to help his squad stay undefeated through two contests. Besides putting points on the scoreboard, he dished out five assists and brought down five rebounds... Besides Williams effort, Memphis Darrell Arthur led all players with 22 points in the game. Arthur was 8-of-15 from the field and perfect from the charity stripe on his six attempts. The Knicks had five players tally double-digits in a losing effort. Morris Almond led the team with 17. Jordan Hill, the eighth overall pick in last month s draft, provided 13 points in his NBA Summer League debut. Nikoloz Tskitishvili put up 12 to Ron Howard s 11. Joe Crawford rounded out the quintet with 10 of his own.
Washington 96, Cleveland 93: NBA.com reports: Nick Young was 13-19 from the floor and scored a 2009 Summer League high 36 points... Cleveland's Tarance Kinsey, who was the Cavaliers' high-scorer with 22 points, sunk a running jumper as time expired, but it wasn't enough... Washington's Tyrese Rice scored 11 points off the bench in the first half and Tarence Kinsey paced the Cavaliers with 12 points in the first two quarters.
Golden State 95, Chicago 83: NBA.com reports: Anthony Randolph s 42-point effort was the best thus far in the 10-day event and tied the most points ever scored in the six-year history of the event... Randolph finished the game 13-of-22 from the field with 16 points from the charity stripe. He is now in a select group of top guns in summer league history. Randolph joined Marcus Banks (July 9, 2007) and Von Wafer (July 15, 2007) in the record books, as they both achieved the 42-point feat in 2007... Golden State got a trifecta of 10-point efforts from three starters, as Joe Ingles, Anthony Morrow and Stephen Curry achieved the feat. Chicago had all five starters reach double-digits with James Johnson and James Augustine leading the squad with 21 apiece. Taj Gibson and DeMarcus Nelson both connected for 14, as Gibson added 12 boards for the game s only double-double. Roberson rounded out the quintet with 11 tallies.
LA Lakers 74, Oklahoma City 68: NBA.com reports: James Harden scored a game-high 23 points, but the effort wasn't enough to overcome Adam Morrison's 17points and the Lakers... Mustafa Shakur paced the Lakers with 13 points, while David Monds added 11 and Alan Anderson finished with 10 in the win... B.J. Mullens and Kyle Weaver each scored 10 in the loss for Oklahoma City.
San Antonio 78, Denver 76: NBA.com reports: San Antonio was paced by 17 points from Malik Hairston. George Hill and Romel Beck collected 16 and 14, respectively. Ian Mahinmi was the only player to register a double-double with 14 points and 12 boards. Coby Karl was the game s high-scorer with 19, as she shot 6-of-7 from the field and 4-of-5 from the line. Ronald Dupree trailed Karl s output with 13 and Richard Hendrix had 11.
LA Clippers 88, New Orleans 86: NBA.com reports: DeAndre Jordan s 21 points and 12 rebounds led Los Angeles strong inside presence outscoring New Orleans 48-30 in the paint. Eric Gordon paced the Clippers with 22 points, while Blake Griffin registered 16 points, nine rebounds and five assists. Hornets guard Darren Collison led all scorers with 23 in the loss. Marcus Thornton scored 10 in the final quarter as he kept the game close, but was not enough as Los Angeles held on for the win. Thornton finished the game with 19... Collison and Anthony Tolliver combined for 16 of the Hornets 26 third quarter points.

Detroit 96, New York 73: NBA.com reports: Austin Daye scored a game-high 27 points to go with 13 rebounds for Detroit while DaJuan Summers finished with 26 points and eight boards... Jordan Hill, who was selected eighth overall by the Knicks in the 2009 NBA Draft finished with a team-high 14 points for New York, while Nikoloz Tskitishvili finished with 12 points and Toney Douglas finished with a game-high 10 assists.

Douby scored 17 points in just over 27 minutes off the bench for the Raptors and DeRozan finished with a team-high 20 points in the win. Jodie Meeks finished with a game-high 29 points, 25 of which he scored in the second half to go with four rebounds, while Joe Alexander paced the Bucks with 19 points and eight boards.
Houston 92, LA Lakers 77: NBA.com reports: The Houston Rockets (5-0) stayed perfect in its visit to Las Vegas for the 2009 NBA Summer League with its 92-77 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers Thursday in the COX Pavilion... Chase Budinger led his team offensively with 25 points on 7-of-9 shooting from the field. Joey Dorsey was one of three Rockets to throw down 11 points, but his 20 rebounds for a double-double were more impressive. His rebound total tied an NBA Summer League record that was set by Lonnie Jones of Cleveland on July 14, 2004 vs. Phoenix... Los Angeles Ben McCauley matched Dorsey s double-double effort, as he combined an 11-point outing with 10 boards. Chinemelu Elonu led the Lakers in scoring with 16, as David Monds followed closely behind with 14.
Golden State 104, New Orleans 84: NBA.com reports: The Warriors offense was spearheaded by a 47-point outing by Anthony Morrow, which is the highest point tally by a player in the six-year history of the league. Morrow made 18-of-26 attempts from the field and was a perfect 4-for-4 from the charity stripe for his monumental outing... Lawrence Hill joined Morrow in double figures for the Warriors, as he knocked down 13 points. New Orleans was led by Marcus Thornton s 21 in a losing effort. Mavs 73, Thunder 54: NBA.com reports: Rodrigue Beaubois tallied a game high 23 points for the Mavericks while Shan Foster chipped in 14. The Thunder were led by James Harden with 11... In the opening quarter of play the Mavericks jumped out to a quick 10-0 run and led by as many as 15 in the quarter and took a 13 point lead, 24-11, heading into the second quarter. Shan Foster led the Mavs with 10 points in the quarter while the Thunder were led by Harden with four points.
Bulls 90, Knicks 84: NBA.com reports: Brandon Costner was the game s top scorer with 21 points off 7-of-11 shooting. Nine of his 21 points came consecutively at the end of the first quarter to help Chicago take its first lead of the game... Besides Costner s effort, the Bulls got double-digit efforts from three other players. James Johnson connected for 20, while Nelson had 15 to Anthony Roberson s 12. New York had five players reach double figures in defeat. Morris Almond and Hill tied for the team lead with 16 apiece. Nikoloz Tskitishvili followed closely behind with 14. Ron Howard and Joe Crawford rounded out the quintet with 11 and 10 points, respectively.
Hornets 100, Wolves 96: NBA.com reports: Julian Wright's slam dunk with 6.8 seconds remaining in the game, secured a 100-96 victory for the New Orleans Hornets over the Minnesota Timberwolves at the 2009 NBA Summer League at the Thomas and Mack Center on the campus of the University of Nevada-Las Vegas. Wright finished the game with 19 points on 9-of-12 shooting... Jonny Flynn scored a game-high 24 points and Wayne Ellington scored six of his 17 points in the fourth quarter for Minnesota.
Grizzlies 97, Suns 60: NBA.com reports: Sam Young was the main catalyst for Memphis offensive explosion of 29 points in the quarter. Young tallied all 13 of his first-half points in the period off 6-of-8 shooting... Young led all scorers with 20 points. Marcus Williams and Jeff Adrien chipped in 11 apiece, while Hasheem Thabeet and Gilder each had 10. Phoenix was led offensively by Goran Dragic s17 points. Zabian Dowdell followed closely behind with 14. Taylor Griffin rounded out all double-digit scorers with 11.
Wizards 74, Clippers 64: NBA.com reports: JaVale McGee led the Wizards with 19 points on nine-of-11 shooting to go with seven blocks. Los Angeles' Blake Griffin and Washington's Nick Young each matched McGee's 19 points in the game while DeAndre Jordan finished with a 14-point 10-rebound double-double for the Clippers. Javaris Crittenton scored 14 of his 17 points in the second half for Washington.
Nuggets 94, D-League Select 90: NBA.com reports: Ronald Dupree came off the bench to score a game-high 22 points for the Nuggets, while Ty Lawson poured in 21 of his own. Jasper Johnson led the NBA D-League Select squad with 21 points and Kurt Looby chipped in with a 10-point, 11-rebound double-double in the loss.
Blazers 91, Spurs 74: NBA.com reports: Portland had four players achieve double figures. Pooh Jeter led all scorers with 19 points, while Jerryd Bayless was close behind with 18. Dante Cunningham and Pendergraph scored 14 apiece. DeJuan Blair was the top scorer for San Antonio in a losing effort. Blair chipped in 16 and notched a double-double by adding 11 boards to his stat line. Donnell Taylor joined Blair in double digits with 11 of his own.
The Arizona Republic reports: Before the Suns and Los Angeles Clippers closed the NBA Summer League on Sunday night, this year's No. 1 overall NBA draft pick, Clippers forward Blake Griffin, accepted the 10-day league's Most Outstanding Player Award at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas. The Suns' top pick, 14th overall selection Earl Clark, did nothing to cast doubt on the merit of Griffin's selection for the award, but he again showed why the Suns chose him - for his defensive versatility. Clark took the challenge against Griffin's power and helped the Suns bounce back from Saturday's 37-point loss to finish 3-2 in league play with an 87-70 win.

Wizards 89, Knicks 84: NBA.com reports: JaVale McGee was the key offensive threat for Washington, as he poured in 31 points in the winning effort. McGee was 11-of-16 from the field and made 9-of-10 from the charity stripe... John Edwards and Javaris Crittenton aided Washington s victory, as they chipped in 17 and 11 points, respectively. Jordan Hill was one of four Knicks to amass double figures, while leading the team with 21. Almond pitched in 14 to 12 each by Joe Crawford and Tskitishvili.
Bulls 93, Wolves 85: NBA.com reports: James Johnson and DeMarcus Nelson each scored 18 points as their Chicago Bulls cruised to a 93-85 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves at the 2009 NBA Summer League at the COX Pavilion on the campus of the University of Nevada-Las Vegas... Nelson and Johnson scored nine and six points apiece in the fourth quarter as the Bulls pulled away in the fourth quarter extending their lead to as many as 13 points before settling for the eight-point victory. Minnesota's Corey Brewer led all scorers with 20 points.
Grizzlies 76, Spurs 75: NBA.com reports: Marcus Williams hit a go-ahead lay-up with 0.4 seconds on the clock to lift the Memphis Grizzlies to a 76-75 victory over the San Antonio Spurs in the final day of action at the 2009 NBA Summer League at the COX Pavilion on the campus of the University of Nevada - Las Vegas. Williams totaled 11 points in the contest and his Grizzlies finished the Summer League with a perfect 5-0 record. Sam Young and DeMarre Carroll paced Memphis with 16 points apiece while Jeff Adrien pulled down a game-high 11 rebounds. Ian Mahinmi led San Antonio with 15 points and nine boards while second-year guard George Hill finished with 12 points in the loss.
Nuggets 107, Hornets 105: NBA.com reports: Sonny Weems paced the Nuggets with a game-high 28 points. Ty Lawson followed closely with 24 of his own. Karl was third on the team with 19 points, while C.J. Giles provided a double-double with 19 points and 10 boards. New Orleans had two players reach the 20-point plateau. Julian Wright notched 24 to Carroll s 22. Earl Calloway chipped in 13 to Earl Barron s 11. Anthony Tolliver joined Giles in the double-double club with a combination of 12 points and 11 rebounds to achieve the feat.
D-League Select 74, Blazers 73: NBA.com reports: Marcus Hubbard hit a long-range three at the final buzzer to help the NBA D-League Select team, the NBA Development League's entry into the 2009 NBA Summer League, defeat the Portland Trail Blazers, 74-73... The NBA D-League team trailed for the entire game until Hubbard's shot fell, and had trailed by as many as 20 in the contest. Jasper Johnson led all NBA D-League scorers with 16 points, while Will Frisby chipped in with 15 and Curtis Stinson added 13 in the win. Cunningham and David Moss each had 16 for the Blazers.
Suns 87, Clippers 70: NBA.com reports: Prior to tip-off Los Angeles s Blake Griffin, the first overall pick in this year s NBA Draft, was awarded the Summer League s Most Outstanding Player. Griffin wound up leading the Clippers in scoring for the game with 16 points, while pitching in eight rebounds... Goran Dragic was the top scorer in the game leading the Suns with 21 points on 7-of-9 from both the field and the line. Earl Clark provided 16 to Robin Lopez s 13.
San Antonio Express-News reports (via blog): The story from the Spurs' angle was Ian Mahinmi. With DeJuan Blair sitting out the second game of the back-to-back, it was Mahinmi's job to tangle with Hasheem Thabeet, Memphis' 7-foot-3 rookie and the No. 2 overall pick in last month's draft. Mahinmi won the matchup hands down. He scored 15 points, went to the line eight times, grabbed nine rebounds and blocked four shots. Thabeet, as he had for most of summer league, simply looked overmatched. He had nine points and five rebounds, which were actually better than his average numbers heading into the night.
Arlington Heights Daily Herald reports (via blog): The Bulls finished the Las Vegas summer league on a three-game winning streak after beating Minnesota 93-85 on Sunday. Rookie James Johnson had 18 points and 7 rebounds. In five summer games, the 6-foot-8 forward from Wake Forest averaged 16.6 points, 7.0 rebounds and 3.6 assists, while shooting 40 percent from the field.

Golden State 96, Philadelphia 89 -- NBA.com reports: Anthony Randolph erupted for 30 points Friday as the Golden State Warriors opened the 2008 NBA Summer League with a 96-89 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers at COX Pavilion on the campus of UNLV. The game saw 11 lead changes and 11 ties. Randolph, the 14th overall pick in the 2008 NBA Draft, outdueled Sixers second-year forward Thaddeus Young, who scored 27 points.
Memphis 88, New Orleans 75 -- NBA.com reports: First-round draft pick O.J. Mayo led the Memphis Grizzlies to an 88-75 victory over the New Orleans Hornets on Friday in the second of 53 games at the 2008 NBA Summer League at the COX Pavilion on the UNLV campus. Darrell Arthur, also a first-round pick, led the way for Memphis with 18 points. The offensive effort was rounded out by Mayo, who finished with 15 points, and second-year guard Mike Conley, who added 14... Hilton Armstrong, a third-year player, led all Hornets with 13 points, while Julian Wright chipped in 12 and five rebounds.
Detroit 84, L.A. Lakers 73 -- NBA.com reports: Second-year guard Rodney Stuckey led all scorers with 21 points for the Pistons while second-year guard Coby Karl led the Lakers with 14 points. The Pistons led by five at the end of the first quarter and by 10 at halftime. Stuckey set the early tone for the Pistons, scoring nine of his 11 first-half points in the opening quarter. The Lakers struggled in the first half, hitting just 9 of 22 shots.
LA Clippers 86, Dallas 69 -- NBA.com reports: Dallas continued to have the hot hand into the second quarter, stretching their run to 14 points and claiming the lead at 22-21 before Los Angeles quickly regrouped. The Clippers held the Mavericks to six points in the rest of the period and built a 45-28 halftime advantage. Second-year forward Al Thornton and first-round draft pick Eric Gordon scored 11 points apiece in the first half... Gordon finished 23 points and Thornton added 20 for the Clippers. Singleton scored 13 points and former Slam Dunk champion Gerald Green added 12 for the Mavericks.

Sacramento 93, Toronto 86 -- NBA.com reports: Sacramento had four players finish in double figures, led by Spencer Hawes 23 points. Other notable scorers were Quincy Douby with 20, Shelden Williams with 16, and Jason Thompson with 12... Toronto was led by Joey Graham who finished with 24 points and Jaycee Carroll who tallied 14 in the loss.
Charlotte 81, LA Clippers 66 -- NBA.com reports: The well balanced Bobcats attack was led by Jermareo Davidson s 15 points and D.J. Augustin s 14... Clippers guard Eric Gordon left the contest with 8:01 remaining in the 4th quarter with a strained left hamstring. The Bobcats pounced on the short-handed Clippers from that point on as they pushed their lead up to as many as 19. Los Angeles was led by Al Thornton who finished with 22 points and Gordon who poured in 15 points of his own.
Denver 99, Philadelphia 85 -- NBA.com reports: Dahntay Jones tallied a team-high 21-points as the Denver Nuggets routed the Philadelphia 76ers, 99-85, at the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas on Saturday... Sonny Weems had a stellar debut for the Nuggets with 17 points on 8-of-15 shooting from the field, while Elton Brown racked up 13 points and 11 rebounds in the victory. Meanwhile for the 76ers, who just signed Elton Brand to a multi-year contract, Thaddeus Young starred with a game-high 22 points. Young played a vital role in Philadelphia's surprise 2007-08 season.
Memphis 88, Milwaukee 79 -- NBA.com reports: Highly-touted rookie O.J. Mayo erupted for a game-high 26 points as the Memphis Grizzlies improved to 2-0 at the 2008 NBA Summer League with an 88-79 triumph over the Milwaukee Bucks on Saturday... Ramon Sessions led Milwaukee with 12 points, while Matt Freije and Trey Johnson each scored 11 in the defeat.

New Orleans 77, Charlotte 75 -- NBA.com reports: Bobby Brown racked up a game-high 20 points and buried a go-ahead basket with 30.9 seconds remaining to lift the New Orleans Hornets past the Charlotte Bobcats, 77-75, on the third day of competition of the 2008 NBA Summer League... Hilton Armstrong added 14 points, while Julian Wright contributed with 11 points for the winners... The disappointed Bobcats were led by their rookie point guard D.J. Augustin and his 15 points. Jermareo Davidson also turned in a solid performance with 12 points and nine rebounds.
Golden State 95, Dallas 86 -- NBA.com reports: Marco Belinelli poured in 25 points and Brandan Wright added 15 and seven rebounds as the Golden State Warriors rolled past the Dallas Mavericks Sunday in the second game of Day 3 at the NBA Summer League... Powered by Belinelli, who scored 11 of his 25 points in the fourth quarter, the Warriors held on down the stretch. James Singleton led the Mavs with 17 points and Gerald Green added 15.
LA Lakers 85, Memphis 76 -- NBA.com reports: Coby Karl tallied a game high 16 points as the Los Angeles Lakers topped the Memphis Grizzlies 85-76 on Sunday, handing the Grizzlies their first loss of the 2008 NBA Summer League... The Grizzlies who have played three straight days were led by O.J. Mayo who tallied 15 points while Ebi Ere added 14 off the bench.
Detroit 75, LA Clippers 66 -- NBA.com reports: Arron Afflalo scored 13 of his game-high 25 points in a decisive third quarter that helped the Detroit Pistons earn a 76-66 win over the Los Angeles Clippers Sunday in the Day 3 finale of the 2008 NBA Summer League... DeAndre Jordan posted a double-double of 15 points and 10 rebounds for the Clippers.

New York 97, Cleveland 94 -- NBA.com reports: Wilson Chandler's strong performance of 26 points and eight rebounds guided the New York Knicks to a nail-biting three-point victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers, 97-94, in the day four opener of the 2008 NBA Summer League. Chandler was helped out by fellow starters Anthony Roberson's 22 points, Mardy Collins' 17, and Danilo Gallinari's 14... The disappointed Cavaliers, who did score 56 points in the paint, were led by their rookie center J.J. Hickson's 26 points and nine rebounds... InsideHoops.com Notes: Wilson Chandler (11-of-21) had 26p, 8r, 3a, 2s and 2b. Roberson shot 8-of-19 for his 22p. Mardy Collins (4-of-6) had 17p, 6r, 5a. For the Cavs, Hickson (11-of-15) had 26p 9r. Clay Tucker took 16 shots to get his 17p 6r... Knicks rookie Ganilo Gallinari struggled early on, but then got hot in the second half. He's probably going to wind up being a small forward who occasionally plays the four. And Hickson definitely impressed everyone, though let's see if he plays like that again. Also, Wilson Chandler looked legit, and had to impress new Knicks coach Mike D'Antoni. Renaldo Balkman was lousy.

The duo of Joey Graham and John Lucas combined for 14 of the Raptors 20 points in the second quarter, that helped Toronto cut their deficit from as much as 15 down to five at the half; 39-34... Toronto was led by their three-year pro Joey Graham's 16 points... InsideHoops.com Stat Notes: For the Raptors, Joey Graham took 13 shots for his 16 points and 7 rebounds, though he fouled a lot. For the Nuggets, Taurean Green needed just 3 shot attempts to get his 17p 4a. Dahntay Jones, who really does belong in the NBA, shot 6-of-10 for 16p. Elton Brown showed his rebounding ability, getting 11p and 10r, though he fouled a lot... Elton Brown seems like he could help a regular season team's deep bench... Joey Graham looks good.
Portland 78, Washington 73 -- NBA.com reports: In his NBA debut, Jerryd Bayless scored a game-high 28 points and hit a pair of free-throws with just 12.3 seconds left to give the Blazers a 78-73 win over the Wizards on Monday night in Las Vegas. Andray Blatche and Nick Young each contributed 17 for Washington... InsideHoops.com Stat Notes: For Portland, Bayless shot 5-of-12 with 18-of-23 free throws had 28p 4r. Petteri Koponen shot 7-of-13 for 19p. Josh Davis took 11 shots for his 10p plus 8r. For Washington, Andray Blatche (5-of-11) had 17p and 8r though he committed a ton of fouls and turnovers. Nick Young scored 17 but also was a fouling machine. Javale McGee was disappointing when it came to hitting the boards, grabbing just 2, and had 11p with 3 blocks... Bayless is clearly a scorer, but can he play the point in the NBA? If he scores like this, who cares! ... Nicolas Batum did nothing today... Blatche is developing, if you believe summer league.
Houston 100, Phoenix 97 -- NBA.com reports: In the highest scoring game of the week, Donte Greene's 40-point performance lifted the Rockets to a 100-97 victory over the Phoenix Suns at the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas on Monday... Supporting Greene in the win was Michael Harris' double-double of 21 points and 13 rebounds and Maarty Leunen's 16 points... Phoenix was led by their backcourt tandem of Alando Tucker and Strawberry, who both finished with 22 points, while big man Robin Lopez chipped in with 19 points of his own... InsideHoops.com Stat Notes: To get his 40 points, Donte Green shot 12-of-20. He also had 3r, 3a, 2s. Mike Harris shot 9-of-14. Maarty Leunen had 16p 4r but fouled a lot. Aaron Brooks took 14 shots for his 13 points and also fouled a lot. Alando Tucker shot 6-of-16 for his 22p, 6r. DJ Strawberry shot 7-of-15 for 22p 6r 5a. JaJuan Smith led all scorers with 19 points off the bench for the Mavericks... Minnesota s efforts were led by Love, who tallied 18 points and a league-high 13 rebounds and Blake Ahearn who contributed 17 points off the bench... InsideHoops.com Notes: JaJuan Smith shot 6-of-10, and showed his three-point range, nailing 4-of-6 threes for his 19p, though he didn't do anything but score. Shan Foster shot 8-of-13 for his 17p. Reyshawn Terry shot 5-of-6 for 15p 4r. Pape Sow got 3 steals. Meanwhile, Kevin Love was terrific for a rookie, shooting 7-of-13, though he had too many fouls and turnovers. Blake Ahearn shot 4-of-8 for 17p and literally almost nothing else. Corey Brewer, who is still finding his way in the NBA, shot just 5-of-18 for 11p, 7r and 3a... We still aren't sure what position Brewer will excel at, if any, in the NBA. Perhaps as an athletic shooting guard who can't shoot? ... Shan Foster was a nice surprise today.
San Antonio 78, Memphis 76 -- NBA.com reports: Ian Mahinmi's 18-point performance led San Antonio to a 78-76 win Monday night in the team's first game at the 2008 NBA Summer League held in the Thomas & Mack Center on the campus of UNLV. Memphis fell to 2-2 on the league. Mahinmi's effort was complimented by George Hill who finished with 17 points while Memphis' Darrell Arthur led all scorers with 23 points on 10-of-15 shooting from the floor... InsideHoops.com notes: Darrell Arthur also had 6r. OJ Mayo shot just 5-of-17 for 18p and 6r. PJ Tucker on just 4 shot attempts had 12p 9r and 2s. He looked very skilled and like he belongs in the NBA. For the Spurs, Ian Mahinmi on just 10 shots had 18p 8r. George Hill only shot 2-of-9 but kept drawing fouls, shooting 12-of-16 free throws for 17p 8r. James Gist blocked 3 shots.

Milwaukee 73, Detroit 59 -- NBA.com reports: Ramon Sessions recorded a game high 21 points and led the Milwaukee Bucks to a 73-59 victory over the Detroit Pistons in the opening game of the 2008 NBA Summer League Presented by EA SPORTS. Following a dismal first quarter, scoring just 14 points on 3-11 from the field, the Bucks went on a 12-0 to tie the game at 27 and took their first lead in the game when Aaron McGee connected on one of his two free throws extending the run to 13. The Knicks played without lottery pick Danilo Gallinari, who was out with a sore back. In addition, forward Renaldo Balkman sprained an ankle and did not return... Second-year center Ian Mahinmi and rookie James Gist each had double-doubles for San Antonio. Mahinmi totaled 14 points and 10 rebounds and Gist collected 10 and 10 .
Dallas 93, Sacramento 71 -- NBA.com reports: The Dallas Mavericks, led by Gerald Green's 18 points, defeated the Sacramento Kings, 93-71, on Wednesday. The win was the largest margin of victory thus far in the 2008 NBA Summer League Presented by EA Sports on the UNLV campus. Charles Rhodes had a double-double for Dallas with 13 points and 10 rebounds to fuel the team s second win in the summer meet... Sacramento was led by second-year center Spencer Hawes, who scored 17 points.
Philadelphia 86, Washington 72 -- NBA.com reports: Rookie Marreese Speights and sophomore Jason Smith each scored 24 points to lead the Philadelphia 76ers past the Washington Wizards, 86-72, in the 2008 Las Vegas Summer League presented by EA Sports at COX Pavilion on Wednesday. The 76ers led by as many as seven points in the opening quarter behind Speights and Smith, who combined for 20 of the team's 22 first-quarter points. Andray Blatche dropped in 10 points for Washington.
LA Lakers 95, Minnesota 93 -- NBA.com reports: Los Angeles Lakers 2008 NBA Draft selection Joe Crawford came up big for his new team Wednesday night, scoring the game-winning basket with 2.9 seconds left as his Lakers defeated Kevin Love and the Minnesota Timberwolves, 95-93, at the Thomas & Mack Center as part of the 2008 NBA Summer League Presented by EA Sports. Crawford s last-minute heroics were complemented by Nik Caner-Medley s 19 points and Coby Karl's 14... Second-year forward Corey Brewer scored 19 points and 2008 lottery pick Kevin Love added 18 and 17 rebounds in a huge performance for Minnesota.
LA Clippers 82, Memphis 74 -- NBA.com reports: Marcus Williams had 23 points and 10 rebounds and Al Thornton scored 20 points Wednesday as the Los Angeles Clippers spoiled the 2008 Las Vegas Summer League finale of rookie sensation O.J. Mayo with an 82-74 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies. Mayo, acquired by the Grizzlies in a draft day trade with Minnesota, scored 20 points. In his first games as a professional, he had a 26-point outing, made a 70-foot shot and had a thunderous transition dunk while looking consistently sharp.
Houston 73, Cleveland 72 -- NBA.com reports: Donte Greene and Maarty Leunen scored 17 points apiece Wednesday as the Houston Rockets edged the Cleveland Cavaliers, 73-72, to close the sixth day of action at the 2008 NBA Summer League Presented by EA Sports in the Thomas & Mack Center on the campus of UNLV... Greene, who scored 40 points in Houston's last game, had 12 points and rookie Joey Dorsey grabbed eight of his 14 rebounds.

Milwaukee 79, Denver 67 -- NBA.com reports: Ramon Sessions and his Milwaukee Bucks were too much for the Denver as they dismissed the Nuggets 79-67 in the final game on Thursday at the 2008 NBA Summer League Presented by EA SPORTS. The Bucks were led by their backcourt tandem of Ramon Sessions and Roderick Wilmont. Sessions turned in a good all-around performance with 13 points, nine assists, and eight rebounds while Wilmont chipped in 13 points of his own... Detroit 78, Charlotte 67 -- NBA.com reports: Four Pistons scored in double figures, led by Will Bynum who scored a game-high 16 points. Cheikh Samb chipped in with 15. Four Warriors (3-1), led by C.J. Watson with 24 points, posted double-figure scoring.
Denver 105, Houston 104 -- NBA.com reports: Dahntay Jones had a game-high 29 points, including four in the two-minute overtime period, to propel his Nuggets to victory. New York s squad was led by 2007 NBA Summer League MVP Nate Robinson who scored 11 points, all from the line, for the Knicks.
Golden State 95, Toronto 90 -- NBA.com reports: Anthony Randolph and Anthony Morrow combined for 48 points to lead the Golden State Warriors to a 95-90 victory over the Toronto Raptors on Saturday at the NBA Summer League Presented by EA SPORTS... Randolph led the Warriors assault with 26 points and 12 rebounds while Morrow added 22 points. The Raptors had five players in double figures including Desmon Farmer with a team high 22 points and John Lucas who chipped in with 14 points.
