NIT Basketball Tournament
By InsideHoops.com | 2006-07
The NIT (National Invitation Tournament) is a staple in college basketball for Division One teams. Though, last year the NCAA bought the rights to it, so the future is to be determined. There's the preseason NIT and the post-season NIT. The Preseason NIT tournament features lots of top college basketball teams, seemingly invited in random fashion. The postseason NIT tournament features the best teams who failed to win invitations to the NCAA Tournament.
